Hello everyone, I've never been good with the formal stuff so I'll just spit it out,
Yesterday I streamed a full game 100% of AC6 and I would like to introduce it as a new category, i waited until today to make this post because I wanted to upload the run to youtube first, so unlike arena%, there was actually a little bit of precedent behind it.
the rules I propose for this run are:
- start from new game
- all missions must be done
- all logs must be collected
- all arena missions must be done
- all weapons and parts must be obtained (considering 45 minutes was just grinding for cash, maybe we can reconsider that rule for future runs)
- data logs and S-ranks are not required
- like standard NG runs, runs are separated into AC data used and unused, this run (accidently) is used.
- all weapons, logs and arena must be finished before Allmind, and the timer ends when Allmind dies.
like I said in rule 5, I would like some further input on obtaining all parts, I decided that's what I should do because that meant I did the training missions to obtain those parts and it meant I had to grab the parts in the missions, but because of that rule I had to grind Arye 26 times for 44 minutes to get the cash to buy everything, and that isn't the best to watch and completely ruined the pace of the run.
the things I excluded from this 100% are S-ranks, because they would add another 2.5-3 hours onto this already long run and it would just be doing the same missions again, in a run where I've already done every mission 1-3 times and datalogs, which I excluded because its just a unimportant fetch quest with no practical reward.
Again would love some input on this, As much as I love the categories we have I wanted one where we hunted down the logs and weapons cashes, the type of run that shows full understanding of the game, as well as show every mission, not just the same ones.
I posted this in the discord. but Ill post it here too.
without really looking too deeply at the run. I assume this is like basically 3 playthroughs? I mean theres technically a way to do it from just using mission mode. make it easier on the runner. plus would make optimizing missions a lot easier and/or more fun? BUT I will say it would be harder to like. argue for it considering we would be at a ng+ state and that would affect unlocks maybe? Ive been gone too long to remember what you gotta collect and stuff. but I am fairly certain unless they went through the entire game with barely doing anything. it would still affect the progression path for 100%? if no, then fuck it. you could have ng and ng+ category as they would be fundamentally different. also having to unlock all weapons and parts imo is probably the preferred ruleset? Which also makes arguing for mission mode version of 100% even harder. it does add like 40+ min of just farming cash but im pretty sure there are almost always farming in most rpg speedruns anyways. so in the spirit of it. I would vote for all weapons and parts for future rulesets as it makes less sense to me to remove that rule probably wouldnt be good. It would add a lot of dead time to the run. plus it would add a lot of difficult to the run maybe? as weapons and parts at the time of mission may range from being just a passerby easy s rank mission. or actually impossible cause parts suck. All logs is probably ok to include though. as its usually just a enemy iirc? so it would be a different routing to not include it. could have potential but would add more time. as you would have to fight more AC's and some of them actually being hard like that stealth mission dude when you let whats his face live. I think he might be required? ac data versus no ac data. idk. since it starts from NG state. im partial to say its whatever as they wouldnt have shit at the time to create a ac data anyways worth actually swapping to in 1st playthrough. but would matter on second and third playthrough. as better mechs. more swaps needed to improve times over basically the entire 2/3 of the run. but all else looks good to me.
@RaineBt This category must be done on a fresh save file from NG, because it involves the arena and combat logs, which every player would've done at least a few of if they were to starts from NG+, also it's more in the spirt of a 100% completion run to start from the beginning as well. A NG+ variation of this would be more like a All S-rank missions run, something I purposely excluded because after running the S-ranks gauntlet myself you're looking at approximately 3.5 hours.
We open AC6 leaderboards today.
Please check game rules and category rules, then submit your run.
There are 3 categories "NG Any%," "NG+ Any%," and "NG+ True Ending."
Rules and categories may change in the future.
Good Luck to every runners!
