Hello! New to this kind of thing, but on my first playthrough of this game, I found a way to get a really really nice weapon really early.
In Ancient Ruins of Aery, there's a way to use Dancer Carena to get up to Mystic Revelunge. When in midair, you can use hard attack ("Go go, Ramco!") hits 1 and 2 to kill vertical momentum and gain height. I'm not sure on the exact properties, but I'm going to attach some images. There's a pillar you normally can't get up on, but by jump->hard->hard, the tail flip of the second hard attack carries you up onto the pillar. From the pillar, jump-> jump -> dash->dash->hard->hard towards the center platform, to get up onto it with some clipping. It takes some finagling, and I'm not sure if it's 2 or 3 air dashes on the second part, but here's pictures!
Stand here.
You can get up onto the pillar with the above mentioned moves.
From there, aim to the left side of the root as pictured above.
You can BARELY make it across. But jump, jump, airdash, airdash, hard, hard, will get you up there, but you'll be left hanging in midair and need to spam jump to finish it. Up here, you can access the chest with your lovely new spear. Should be good for smashing through on a speedrun if you get such a nice weapon early. I don't speedrun myself, but I love the speedrunning community. Me and my husband Cornelious found this on our first playthrough together. Also, if it's relevant, I'm playing on PC/Steam/Windows 11.
Thanks for letting us know!
Saw another player on Reddit post a different method to get this spear yesterday evening, so we were already aware that you could get the spear this early, but it's always great to see different approaches! :D
Now to see which method is faster...
Thank You for showing us, is it very easy to make it up there. It would help me with my speedrun.
As we have now approached release - The Demo category has been changed to a misc category, so it's not shown on default anymore, if you wish to still submit or see these runs, feel free.
