A prompt should come up. Enter steam://open/console

In Steam, navigate to the Console Tab. Paste the command corresponding to the version you want to download in tho the bar at the bottom. Commands are listed at the bottom. For example, if I wanted to download v1201, I would enter download_depot 2810780 2810781 5355555550765242715 into the Steam Console and hit enter.

Steam will start downloading the down-patched version you requested. Once it is complete it will say 'Depot Download Complete' along with the file directory where the version is located (The file should be titled depot_2810871). Copy the entire file directory into the search bar in File Explorer and it should bring you to the game file where you can launch the game.

If you wish to add this down-patched version as a Steam game for easy access (not required), then you must first create an empty folder.

Drag all files from the depot_2810871 file into your new empty file. If you do not do this then the down-patched version will be overridden if you ever downpatch to a different version.

In Steam, navigate to the bottom left corner where an 'Add a Game' button should be. Click this and press 'Browse' From here you need to navigate to the folder you moved the files into and select the executable.
