I might as well add this.

Gives the runners something else to run.

EDIT: Category has been added.

NTSC is allowed.

Also, to keep things consistent, when you press start to begin the game, that is when timing starts for all versions.

The arcade version has you insert your credit, select 1-player, then you press start here to begin the game. Similar to how you describe the C64 runs.

Yes, it would be. It goes under the Arcade platform when submitting.

Hello,

From the videos I have seen, the Tengen version does not appear to be different from the Namco port, and I have accepted a run on the Tengen version. Either port may be used.

Thanks for bringing this up!

The Atari 2600 version is a separate game: https://www.speedrun.com/pacmanatari2600

After doing some searching on GB emulaotrs,

"Visualboy Advance/Visual Boy Advance-M (VBA/VBA-M) in any variation IS BANNED since it emulates GB games inaccurately. It is recommended to use BGB, Gambatte or BizHawk"

Hi @heartPrestige I've been busy with classes and wrapping up the semester. I just approved your run! Welcome to the leaderboards!

For now, this would go in the Arcade category. Thanks for bringing this up!

Hey, sorry for the late response.

To answer your question, Arcade1Up looks like arcade gameplay to me, just mark it as emulation when submitting.

I feel like I need to say something about this.

"For the time being, the onus of proof is on Starcrytas (and, by extension, you, SephirothsBlade if you choose to support his cause on here) to prove that his runs were indeed legitimate"

I really don't remember being told that "Starcrytas, you're banned from PSR" or similar. If there's a post that says that or something similar, please show me. All I was told was to provide up evidence of a decent PB close to WR at the time via streaming. I remember sending a PM to CoolTrainerMichael and Shenanigans on Twitch asking about this and that's what they wanted me to do. Unfortunately, these PM's don't exist anymore likely from Twitch updates, so you're going to have to take my word for it.

My (terrible) Pokemon Rumble time remains on the leaderboards here from when runs were being transferred from the PSR wiki to this website, and that was recorded on Ustream when I used to use that. If I'm banned from PSR, why does that time remain?

That camera pointed at the screen run was indeed an attempt to get said decent PB close to WR. It had commentary of the current knowledge at the time and my own thoughts and additional comments. The mic was too far away from the keyboard to pick up the inputs and, admittedly, I had not considered this to be part of the evidence expected from me.

If you really want me to prove Pokemon speedruns now, you're going to have to give me some time to get used to the game again, relearn the movement, and learn the strats that have been developed over the 7-8 years and beat whatever time you want me to beat. I haven't done any sort of Pokemon speedrunning, let alone played Emerald or Crystal, in 7-8 years. Plus with the runs being 2.5-3+ hours long, I need to find the time to do the attempts while dealing with university work.

I have an Emerald cartridge, the GB Player which I use the GB Interface for, and a capture card. Streaming Emerald now in low quality because of terrible Internet wouldn't be much of an issue. Crystal would have to still be on emulator unless you want me to buy the cartridge to play on console. Here's my Internet speed using an online speed test: https://www.speedtest.net/result/12252151213.png

With what I currently have on Twin Galaxies, here on speedrun.com, and any other website, if you have a problem with ANY of the scores or speedruns, I'll get on Twitch and prove those runs. Just let me know which run(s) and why you think there is suspicion.

Can we IP ban this guy? Is an IP ban even a thing here?

To that idiot that has been spamming threads, here is proof that YOU cheat.

Mortal Kombat Game Gear high score:

Which links to your Youtube page that has that run AND the harassment videos you made about me. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI422dqHWbUEH-Uv-9JHFOw

Web archive link of the video in case he deletes it. https://web.archive.org/web/20210213001118/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r9uQbk9-N4

At 4:06 (VOLUME AND LANGUAGE WARNING) you can see the following: Current score: 2,447,000 Bonus points: 690,000 (90,000 from time bonus, 500,00 double flawless, 100,00 fatality) Score should be 3,137,000

However, he somehow gains points and ends up with 3,210,000 points. Where did the extra 73,000 come from? He also spends a bit longer on the fighter ladder screen than the rest of the video. Possibly loading a cheat or splice here?

Another instance of the random points coming from nowhere is at 13:30. Current score: 9,021,000 Bonus points: 688,000 (88,000 from time bonus, 500,00 double flawless, 100,00 fatality) Score should be 9,709,000

This time, he gains 12,000 points between fights and ends up with 9,721,000. So throughout the run, he gains 85,000 on loading screens.

For a comparison of how the scores SHOULD be working, and proof that these random points between fights don't exist, check out the speedruns and other videos of Mortal Kombat on Game Gear, like the Longplay seen here:

No, I'm not making it look like he's cheating or putting my videos over his or whatever claim that idiot will come up with this time. I would appreciate it if someone were to verify these claims and verify that the video is indeed that guy's and not some other random video. You can even test this on your own if you want to.

The passing through an enemy trick (glitch?) is allowed. I've had that happen to me many times. You don't have to have a timer, though it does help.
