Ontario, CanadaLag strat for the paintball boss fight
Use roblox recorder to freeze your game twice, a second or two after you jump off the edge. If done properly the boss will not be teleported back after falling and die.

Alternate, Easier Strat
the super jump has since been unpatched. i recommend that if you plan to run this game: do not try to glitch right in front of other players or show off.
i've messaged radiogamer and he does not plan to unpatch the super jump. the only run done with super jumps active is my 100% run from yesterday, which i will move to Legacy.
timing ends after collecting your final objective, so the final ending orb doesn't have to be your final orb.
for super jumps, you just have to equip the coil after doing a ground pound and hold down W, then press Space to jump higher
if you want a super high jump, you have to press Space and F12 (the roblox recorder hotkey) at the same time. it lags your game for a second and gives you a super high jump. it does take some time to get the timing down for a super high jump.
if you hold down A after doing this freeze glitch when against a wall, you can clip through floors as seen here
this is huge
i have done some testing and this trick can be done for 2 stud walls, better than laugh clips
The developer house has recently been patched so that it only works for the creator of the game. This means that getting early abilities like the Ground Pound or Glove is impossible now. The dev warp category is also impossible due to the teleports not working. Any existing runs that glitch into the dev house for early abilities have been moved to the Legacy category. If you submit a older run that glitches into the developer house for dev warp/early abilities, it can be submitted to the Legacy category.
earlier this year af1 deluxe was uncopylocked for anyone to use. this also means that the game won't be updated anymore
knowing roblox the game will eventually break due to updates or terrible changes
so i have made a copy of the game to be used for speedrunning. anyone can use stratosfear mode in this version of the game (to encourage more runs using this mode), with no other changes

starting now you can submit runs using the original game or the speedrun mode version of the game
UPDATE 5/18/2022
speedrun mode has been updated with an IGT timer. you can submit runs of the game with the IGT time. if you play on the original game or use RTA, your runs will be retimed to fit the IGT.

messing with wifi settings (lag switching) is kinda like using stuff outside of the roblox client itself to mess with the roblox client, it just feels wrong
no other roblox speedgame allows lag switching either
found another new thing:
got it figured out and the rules are finalized
i added a category for glitchless speedruns. i'm still not sure if return skips or item hopping is considered a glitch, though. i'll have to figure that out today
so i realized it's kinda dumb to restrict usage of any unlockable orbs or moves for any IL runs. it was inconsistent and rejected old IL runs, and i apologize for that.
you can now use anything you have unlocked in an IL speedrun. any rejected run because of the ruleset change will be verified again
i've rejected both runs and i'll pay good attention to any future IL submissions so this doesnt happen again lol

bramble blast skip can be done with item boosting and has a 1 min timesave
this is a new way to do the air temple. can be done even faster if you have the paintball gun to hit the switch without using the powerup.
