You can clear this fence and run directly to the end in this level.

I feel like this might even be an intended skip, given the positioning of the boxes near that fence. Either way, a nice lil timesave for all categories. This is faster than waiting out the mission and failing for any%. It is a pretty easy skip to do. If you mess up the first try, you can run over to the light and get a lil more time for another attempt.

Tested this with cars, and it also works. I believe that it might not be possible to cause a launch without getting into the vehicle. The same goes for bikes.

You do not have to get off your bike to do this, btw.

Able to be used to get out of bounds. Not sure if it is useful and not sure where else it is possible to perform.

Depending on the angle that you launch at, perhaps you could out-speed the loading of areas as you pass through them to end up out of bounds that way.

Sadly, there seems to be invisible walls surrounding the townscape, even an invisible ceiling. Haven't managed to get Lem out of bounds with this yet.

Wanted to share this little glitch. Not sure if it would be useful whatsoever considering that main menu warping to missions exists. Perhaps for 100% it could be useful for moving around the overworld faster to collect things or go to side missions.

This video contains several instances of the glitch, one being at 2:09:52 in the video, for example.

Hopefully that all made sense in the context of the video.

It appears as if the collision of the first section (the past) is kept while the pause menu is open, despite you being in the second section (the future). I believe this is why you fall through the bridge in the future section if you walk forward after activating the pause glitch.

So I think this could be very useful on co-op if one player can activate the glitch while the other traverses the level. I think routing would be pretty complicated, but it would be really neat to see this strat utilized. Not sure how useful it would be for solo runs sadly.

I wrote these rules years ago, I apologize for the confusion. This is referring to the internal memory of your wii or wii u, which have a number of blocks that you can fill before you cannot save a game. In some games, if you don't have any space to save, you can skip saving entirely, which saves a lot of time compared to runs that do not have their data filled.

This was not referring to the in-game save files, and I had in mind for many games that I modded that, if the game permitted through not auto-saving, (or in the case of this game, having save files in-game), that things like abusing full-save files should be allowed.

I should have written these rules for more clarity, cause I could totally see that being confusing. The reason for the aforementioned rules was specifically made so that people do not have to make a setup of filling the internal memory to get an optimal run. Doing so takes a lot of time, and only certain games like Super Smash Bros Brawl make it easy to fill up your internal Wii/Wii U memory.

Regardless of all this written above, I left the site a bit ago only to return recently, so I am not a mod, but I am the one who wrote those rules and that was what was intended by them. If the new mods feel differently than what I have mentioned, then I am sure they could address this, but I just felt like giving that input.

does my run do that? I think mine might not get all treasures, pretty sure you can beat the game without having to grab all treasures, like taking the kraken path that skips some levels. You get the treasure king crown and the credits just from beating the game iirc
