(new ...right?)
Notes:
- these are probably terrible names for these glitches... meh
- These may not be RTA viable or faster than the current WR strat
- i have no idea wth im doing dont roast me pls
- Uses are still theoretical
RampBoost: Walk or dash into the ramp, ground dash left/right towards the ramp, right before on the corner where two parts/polygons meet, or when the ramp changes angle of inclination. Done correctly, this should give you a huge vertical boost.
- Ground dashing while standing still on the boost spot also works, which may be better for consistency.
- This does not work if one of the parts or angles is flat
Image: Good standing rampboost spot, you can get to the comet right above, and theoretically all the way to the top if you get enough speed and avoid the ceiling
HeadClipBoost: Wavedash up-left/up-right while being stuck under a tiny gap (where your head clips into the ceiling, for example at 318 studs) You might have accidentally done this before if you spam shift a lot. (me)
FastDash: Hold left/right, dash, and jump at the same time (holding down doesn't matter) while on the ground. Done correctly, you get a big horizontal boost.
- This uses up your air dash
- Lifts you vertically at about the same height as a wave dash, good for crossing spikes, but bad for chaining
Image: you can clip through at least 2 studs with fastdash lol
Also, I found a glitch (that I haven't seen in any run, so it's probably new in 2.2): If you hold left/right, jump, and dash at the same time while standing on the ground, you get a huge horizontal boost faster and longer than a normal wave dash. The downsides I found are that it uses your mid-air jump and it's slower against wavedash chaining for long distances, especially downhill and bumpy surfaces.
I just learned about speedrunning for this game about a week ago, hello everyone!
