Hi everyone! Our conversation has concluded in our Discord, and I am happy to welcome Anton_YerBoi to the moderation team! At this point, I will be stepping down as the game moderator and passing all duties to Anton. If you have any moderation questions from this point froward, please contact Anton through SR.C or Discord.
Even though I was very inactive myself, I would like to thank the community for keeping the game active by submitting runs every now and then. I wish Anton and this community the best going froward. Keep getting those times down!
Hi everyone! If you have not seen the post in the Discord yet, I am investigating a possible moderator change for The Witcher 2. I have been very busy with life and school in the past year, and that resulted in me being inactive for a long time. Anton_YerBoi has come up to me asking for them to be moderator, and while I think that's a great idea, I would like to hear what the community thinks. Please post your comments or objections here or on the Discord, a decision will be made on Sunday, October 23rd at 12:00am ET.
Hi everyone! As you may have noticed recently, there has been a change to the run verification process. I have decided to drop the run verification requirement, therefore newly submitted runs won't need to be verified by a moderator to appear on the leaderboards.
There are two reasons for this, the first is that I have less free time to verify runs than in the past, and the other is the low volume of runs that get submitted. This means I will no longer be looking at new runs, so if you suspect foul play in a submission, please report it and I'll investigate.
Now the obvious question that needs to get asked, why not add more moderators? I've already been asked this question a couple times, and my view is that the game is so small to begin with, there's really no need for an additional moderator. Of course this could change over time if more runs are submitted. Only time will tell...
Just a warning for new runners and seasoned veterans alike: patch 1.1 softlocks your game if you've completed the Takemura quest "Down On The Street" in any save. If you haven't updated yet, good for you, make sure you don't update for now! (as of 1/22/20 10:07pm EST)
This is amazing! I would definitely implement this into the route. Thanks for the discovery!
You can speedrun TW3 on Xbox One! Just note that you won't have access to the AutoHotkey to skip cutscenes, you'll have to mash yourself.
As the mods will say, there first needs to be interest in the form of submitted runs for the category before it is added on sr.com. No interest = No new category on sr.com If you want to get the ball rolling, go ahead! I know a couple others who want to run glitchless too.
We are well aware of this glitch and have given it the name Edgerunning.
This would not be a category for each intro. This would be only one category which we would run on Street Kid as it's the fastest.
YES. THANK YOU!!! We were discussion Edge Running and OOB strats, but this just takes the cake for fast movement. It doesn't last very long though, and doesn't go that fast to match a car, but could be super useful in tight spaces. Any% is projected to take 7-8 hours, so this could shorten it. The game just has an unhealthy amount of unskippable cutscenes.
PS: Join our Discord if you want to help us find some cool strats!
This is not a good category, too much RNG. It's unpredictable when a crash will happen. This made me laugh :D, the game is so poorly optimized lol
Yeah, I don't see a good reason not to list them. I think Gaztin is going to get to it soon.
Feel free to join the discord, I myself would like to see a meme run on the leaderboards!
That would be super interesting. We need a meme category lol.
I requested Among Us (like many others) and got rejected immediately (like everyone else). I am a little upset but the rejection makes sense. Just to make the process smoother, maybe a little more clarification on the game requests page would be nice, such as a list of popular games that won't be accepted, or a little more clarification for the phrase "PvP-Related Activities". In my case specifically, while I submitted a singleplayer-only run, it still got rejected with the reason being that the game was mainly for "PvP-Related Activities" (even though it was a singleplayer-run). Oh, many people have asked this but a search bar in the forums :D
