I might be wrong about this, but I think I've recently seen some runs done on JP Wii U VC. Is there a realistic way those runners got the JP version on Wii U VC?

The spear guy before the second yoshi kid is tricky. I've had similar issues in the past. After luring him right far enough to where he no longer notices you, you'll want to quickly spin to the bushes you need to open to get to the pipe, making sure he still doesn't notice you. This should make it possible to open both bushes without any problems. You'll probably want to practice it a bit, as it's a fairly precise maneuver, and will take getting used to. Are there any other enemies causing you problems?

When I tried streaming using OBS, it showed up perfectly fine on OBS, but when I went to my twitch channel, it was constantly loading and buffering. What exactly causes it to buffer so much? Could the amount of buffering vary between viewers?(possibly meaning it doesn't work when I view it, but might work when someone else views it.) Are there any ways to fix this if it's a problem?

PGE/BE took me a LONG time to learn. The timing is something you need to get a feel for. There's no real way to know when it's been 4 frames. One thing that helps is knowing what too late or too early looks like. If you're too late mario won't move at all. too early causes you to trigger the loading zone and go through it. If you do it with perfect timing, mario will move just barely in the direction you pressed. Norm ally for PGE/BE you need to get it right 3-5 times before you can proceed out of bounds. It's also a good idea to go against the wall next to the loading zone in paper mode then go directly down (still in paper mode.) to get as close to the loading zone without triggering it before you start. Not only is the buffer hard, but the trick afterwards can be tough too. It's going to take great precision to learn this trick. Just keep trying. I'd say it took me several hours of practice at least even after I already learned the great tree cage skip. If you have any other questions after you get better at the goombella buffer just ask.

ILs would be an interesting way to expand this game. my only concern is the fact that after you go through a level once, things are faster the next time. (unlocked doors, solved puzzles etc.) how would that work? would it have to be the first time playing the section on a new file? that might limit what you can use a lot.

My thoughts about expanding this game:

It would likely be hard to expand SPM much because most categories I imagine ever being a possibility have little difference from any%. 100% would be different by a lot but would likely be way too long and tedious for anyone's taste. I could imagine glitchless being a possibility though it still would be similar to any% because there aren't any really big skips as far as I know. In general, this game doesn't have much to add on in my opinion.

I have some questions about JP vs. ENG versions

  1. approximately how much faster is JP than ENG for each category?
  2. Is there an easy enough way to get the JP version on wiiUVC?
  3. If not, are there any categories worth doing on the ENG version?

I'm currently trying to do a glitchless run and am trying to figure out if there's any other categories I could do afterwards. Any information on this is appreciated.

Any% favorite: meringue-1 Any% least favorite: soda-secret

Low% favorite: soda-1 Low% least favorite: meringue-airship

Any% Boost mode favorite: peach-3 Any% Boost mode least favorite: soda-secret

These are my favorites and least favorites for the three categories i've attempted.

I actually think some kind of guide would be useful though. Especially for the skips found in some courses. Probably not a written guide, but I think a guide with some videos to show things would be good for both this and NSMBU... just my opinion.
