For that, you'd have to create an autosplitter for this specific game on LiveSplit, to which at least I personally don't have time, skill or motivation to create.
splits.io is just a way to insert your splits on the submission if you want and it's not mandatory, so you don't have to worry about that. Just add the (Youtube) video link and add the time and the system whether it's PC or mobile and that's all you need. :)
I assume you're talking about LiveSplit. It might be just a layout file you're trying to open, but I'm not sure. I added splits to the resources, here's the link to download them: https://www.speedrun.com/Five_Nights_at_Shreks_Hotel_2/resources/jk5za
Hope this helps! If these don't work, then you don't have to worry about splits since they're not required. You can just use a stopwatch or something, I retime the runs before verification. :)
To be honest, I'm not a 100% sure. I have Shrek's Hotel 2 installed on my phone, and when I go and check the link to Five Nights at Doug's Hotel, it shows me that I have the app installed, and it just opens Shrek's Hotel when I click open app.
Here's a link to The Nikoderiko Speedrunning server!
It's because you play on console, load times on PC are faster. Interesting to hear about the other changes though!
If you went ahead and played the game up until the DLC levels open before starting a Hidden World -category run, it would still take like 15 minutes or something to get to that point, which would mean there's quite a lot you have to go through with every reset. In my opinion, when the DLC is put in the game like that (meaning it's not available to be played separately whenever you want and it only opens up in the middle of the game), having categories as "Any%" and "Any% w/DLC" would be smarter. So, if it was like that, the rules would be to just play Any% like normal, but when the Hidden World is available, you just add those levels to the run as well. Same would be with "100%" vs. "100% w/DLC" etc.
However, those are just my thoughts and opinions. :)
Also: about the difficulties of reorganizing because of the disappearing, there is a way to go around it (I had to do it before when moderating another game). I remember it was a bit tricky to figure out, but I managed to do it. It is some extra work for sure, but it is possible. There are many forum posts on src that have conversations on the theme:

Seems like it happened in a similar way here in the video as with me: the broom sweep happened like exactly in the middle. Might have something to do with the placement of the broom?
Yeah I had this happen once as well - I already have it listed on the strats post! If it can be made consistent, sub 4:30 can happen sooner or later!
I'm making a list of strats, feel free to mention stuff I possibly forget to mention/if new stuff gets found and I'll update the list! (posting this on forums intead of guides so you can comment under this)
-
STAIRS MOVEMENT: going up the stairs facing forward might be faster than holding diagonally (not 100% sure on this)
-
ENTERING YOUR ROOM: entering the room while pressing "D" is faster
-
NIGHTS 2-4/MIDNIGHT 0: you can move during black screens (PC only, except Midnight 0 which works on mobile too)
-
NIGHT 1: after using the toilet, you can interact with the bed through the right back corner of the toilet roof
-
NIGHT 2: interacting with objects while talking: you can grab the broom and open the toilet door while talking to Shrek
-
NIGHT 2: you can clean the two dirty spots in the middle with only one sweep (this has been proven to happen only twice, so I'm not sure if it can be consistent or just luck)
-
NIGHT 2: after cleaning the dirty spots on the floor, you can interact with the bed through the right back corner of the toilet roof, and after this you can immediately look at the painting when going upstairs
-
NIGHT 2: if you interact with the bed early, you can move towards the door of your room during the animation of looking at the painting/sneezing (you can't see the movement, but when your character starts saying "Oh no what have I done?", you "teleport" to the spot you moved to)
-
NIGHT 4: you can immediately enter the toilet and interact with the bed through the right back corner of the toilet roof, skipping the entire night 4
-
MIDNIGHT 0: you don't need to fully enter Carl's room to trigger the jumpscare, also facing towards Shrek's direction triggers it immediately (you can do all of this during the black screen)
-
NIGHT 5: interacting with objects while talking: you can stretch the bars when main character is still talking after drinking the Shrek Juice (EDIT: this method actually seems to lose time over waiting next to the Shrek Juice container while drinking the can)
-
NIGHT 5: entering the final cutscene trigger while going backwards seems to hit the trigger faster (not 100% sure on this one)
Thanks for the feedback! :) I've thought about that myself as well, since for example you can't move during black screens on mobile. My thoughts were that I'd keep them in the same category, except if a runner asks for them to be split. I will make the split on the leaderboards.
Also added milliseconds for runs under 5 minutes during the splitting of the boards :)
Hello everyone! Nice to see so many runners for the game. :)
I'm doing another rule change for the timing of the run. The timer now starts on the frame "Night 1" appears on the screen. I'm doing this change because finding the correct starting frame for mobile runs has been much more difficult than anticipated. Starting the timer on the Night 1 frame also makes it more similar to both the PC and mobile versions. I'm going to retime all the runs with this timing method and do the changes if needed, and moving forward this is what will be used!
Can Switch get added as an available console; I assume it would just be on the same leaderboard since there isn't much of a difference in the remaster besides voice acting?
Also: I did some TA grinding and was thinking if it's been thought if they'd get their own IL boards?
Not necessarily, it just seems the submitted runs aren't being verified even after multiple months
I also play the PS4 version on my PS5. I've submitted the runs under PS4 and state in the description that I use PS5. That also works :) (Though if PS5 was added I wouldn't complain :D)
