We think that two moderators should be perfectly capable of handling the newly created Leaderboards, one of which is going to be myself just to have someone from the already existing moderation team watching over these boards. As for the second person we'd like everyone of you to vote who you think would be fitting to fill out this role. As per usual, we'll be giving a few days for people to put themselves forward as potential moderators followed up by a voting of those who are interested in becoming a moderator. Just answer to this thread with one or two sentences (As long as it is short) on why you think you would fit as a moderator. These little summaries haven't been done in the past, but with Cheat% being a fairly small community compared to the rest it is a good way of being able to judge who would be a good fit as a moderator for those who vote. The deadline for applying yourself as a potential moderator will be September 4th, 23:59 CEST. Afterwards you'll have another 3-4 days to vote. The amount of votes available will be judged by how many people apply themselves.

As of right now we have a few "Full game runs" included in the category extensions. These are All Trinities All Puppies All Keyblades All Bosses The current ruleset says that obtaining the last required piece/completing the last objective is when the timer ends, but recently there has been the idea about changing this to beating the Ansem IV. This would affect these categories heavily so we wanted to have this potential re-ruling up for debate, do you want runs to end on the final objective or when you beat Ansem IV? Keep in mind that the board (Including pending runs) currently hosts most runs with the "Final Objective" rule and 1-2 runs that follow the "Final Boss" rule. The boards will be adjusted and either pack of runs will be removed from the boards as a result. Please make sure that whatever you vote on does not get influenced by the fact that runs will be deleted, so please make sure to not choose the "Final Objective" rule just because more runs would get deleted than if you would choose the "Final Boss" rule. Go with whatever you feel makes more sense for these categories. You can now vote by upvoting one of the following possibilities. Make sure to only vote for one possibility and make sure that you are or have been a runner of KH/KHFM. Not following either of the rules runs the respective vote to be invalid and will not be counted towards the total.
Just out of curiosity: How come almost everyone is running this game on emulator? Are emulators that are faster than console allowed for this?
We are currently considering whether Demo speedruns should be kept on the main leaderboards as a Miscellaneous category, or if they should instead be moved to a Level Leaderboard section that is separate from the main leaderboards. Please share any thoughts you might have. This thread will be kept open until one week before the game releases, so you'll have ample time to make your voice heard.

Hi đź‘‹ I decided that to not let the hype for this game die out and keeping people interested in this (Or at the very least the demo) that we should maybe have a little Demo% Normal Mode tournament! Hyper, Ffamran, BigSid and I put one up on challonge for that! It will be Double Elimination Best-of-3 (Best-of-5 starting with Semi-Finale) and we want to start this on 22nd of March, which is exactly a week from now on. You do not need to have any experience with FF7R Speedrunning or Speedrunning in general to participate! If you want to join in just sign up on the link that will follow and you're good to go. BigSid and I will take care of the balancing of the rounds so that it becomes as fair as possible. It also doesn't matter which hardware you're using, we'll either use a Loadremover or put a small penalty on faster hardware. Base+HDD will be the benchmark for that option, but we'll still decide on which one to go with. Races will also be scheduled by the runners themselves. We want to finish the tournament within 2.5 weeks, but we think with how short the run is that should easily be manageable.
We hope to see a lot of you there and hope to you are having fun with it, no matter if you watch this or participate :slight_smile:

Now that KHFM has been on XBox for a while and no patch has happend for the PS4 version we wanted to let you guys voice your opinion on what exactly should happen. There are several possible things we can do and as always, if you vote for something you just have to like the post following this message.
The Options we have are:
1: Keeping PS4 and XBox One all on one board 2: Splitting XBox One and PS4 on two seperate boards 3: Keeping PS4 and XBox One all on one board, but runs will be retimed to accomodate for the advantage that XBox has

We'll be using this thread to announce mod decisions. As the first post in here, both Greenday and I decided that we don't require the difficulty being shown anymore. But with that we also decided to remove auto-verification so getting your runs on the board might take a bit longer than it used to. If it is shown, verification will be quick. However if you don't show your difficulty we might decide on either rejecting the run if it is not 100% clear which difficulty has been used or taking a while on the verification process. Therefore the runs from Greenday and Fliggmode are back on the board.
So we have NG+ which allows us to choose any of the panties. How about we make some kind of New Game category, something that either only allows certain panties at certain points or just Yurika only.
Hello everyone I want to try and check different emulator settings for desmume for a speedgame I am interested in. For this I wanted to know if it possible to record my inputs in a TAS-Style manner to be able to replay these over and over. i don't want to actually TAS this, but just record my controller inputs to be replayed. Is that possible?
So how exactly does this category work? Because there are several maps listed that can't go for Pack-a-Punch like Nacht der Untoten, Shi No Numa and Verruckt.
After learning more about how src works we found an interesting and efficient solution on how to bring back Ps2 HDD and BC Ps3 runs. The main idea is stated in this pastebin here: https://pastebin.com/BDegdNrt
The general idea of this is to add both HDD and BC in a way that they are not visible without searching for these runs. Whenever you enter the KH1 page you will only see original Ps2 runs at first but by changing the filters you can change that to either show all runs (Ps2, HDD and BC) or just specific consoles. Due to a visual bug it looks like "Any" is highlighted from the get-go but that is a src specific bug that we can't do anything about. The default is Ps2 either way.

Hi everyone I was thinking if there was a way to have load removers for emulators like for example pcsx2? Not necessarily one that scans the screen for certain colors or pictures (Like Black screens) but one that works similarly to load removers from a pc game.
So I wanted to learn the speedrun and came across a few things I wanted to ask First of all, I compared my run to Garl_Memory's run and his loading times are way shorter than mine. What console model did you run this on?
I wanted to ask a few questions about the run as it catched my interest. First and foremost, why is Ps2 FDS banned? Furthermore, as that is usually something that is allowed: Which version is the one that is used for runs?
