We've added a new rule to the ruleset of every category:
"All runs must have the "/cips" command turned on and in visible place."
It's basically another step of the verification process. If your run doesn't have this command turned on and in visible place - it'll be rejected. All runs verified before 05.02.2021 will stay on the leaderboard untouched.
If you're about to run this game, please read this post carefully, it'll save us (moderators) time, when verifying your future runs.
We start the timing on the frame you select one of the 2 possible languages on title screen, HOWEVER if you die during the gameplay, game will show you different text screens before the main one ( https://imgur.com/7IC32e8 ). Because there are less screens when you die instead of reset (2 instead of 3) we need to adjust the timing by adding ~3.4 seconds to the final time. Although it seems easy to do, sometimes the time will get close to being flat (for example 35.999), but because of different framerates someone could actually be 1 second off his real PB because of this, since we don't use miliseconds. That is of course very hipotetic and not likely to happen case, but nevertheless we don't want to experience it.
TL;DR: Just use reset function in your emulator, when you possibly can.
In Any% Hard rules it says: "Must be done on the Normal difficulty level." instead of Hard. Just a little notice.
Currently the notifications on speedrun.com appear after refreshing the site, but I've seen on other sites that as soon as you get a notification, it appears straight away without refreshing the site. Would it be possible to implement this here, and if not, what would be problematic?
** Leaderboard **
All times on the leaderboard have been retimed, since previous times were inaccurate.
Also the rules have been changed; from now on ALL RUNS WILL REQUIRE VIDEO EVIDENCE. Runs verified before will stay untouched.

I'm looking for games that have a lot of ILs to run. Preferably 2D, but it's not a necessity.
Recently I saw that Aldyn got 8-C in the last room, which is .610, not .593. He didn't lose any frames on axe grab, so that should be his final time. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I want to run both Gun Range categories in the future and I want to ask - is it easier to get good times with older version of the game? Does it change weapon behavior in some way?
I heard that a lot of people use Nestopia, because it has minimal input lag. I want to run SMB1 on Nestopia too, but sometimes it makes small lag spikes. It's not that bad, but in some places it can be hard to do frame perfect inputs with this. Furthermore, most people don't have that issue. Can somebody tell me what can be wrong?
