I think we would be open to it, but we would want at least a few runners first for the sake of not creating a category nobody will run, and would need a clearly defined ruleset to set it up.
Rule of thumb is to record and post a run here and then it gets considered, otherwise we bloat the leaderboard with runs that dont exist (ddl for example)
A change in language often changes the length of text and how much it scrolls. Because of this discrepancy, it impacts the time of the run, and therefore separates the languages.
This is the link for the PokePark Speedrunning Discord. You can discuss both Park 1 or 2 here, so please feel free to ask whatever questions you need about either game. We are open to discussing strategies, Personal Bests, and most other things about these games, so feel free to join, even if just to lurk.
There is a discord icon below the follow button that should link to it. At some point the old animal crossing discord got deleted and a new (albiet very similar) one was created, so the old link probably refers to the deleted server whereas that button seems updated
Dang, gg. Didnt know evidence round could even go so fast
Hey, wanted to create a thread to talk about task runs that have no categories so we can stop asking about them in individual threads and just compile all that discussion here.
Examples include: DDL + Cogsuit Tasks Field Office Taskline
Here is what I can contribute: -As far as discussions in the past have gone, if someone does the run following the correct ruleset it will be considered for a category based on what the mod thinks -It is unclear if these tasklines, due to their length, would be in parts (along the lines of DDL parts and sets of resistance rank stamps)
As far as my opinion goes, DDL to the end of the traditional taskline should remain together if someone does it (still iffy on if I ever will choose to do so), but the resistance rank ones should be seperated by stamp sets because they have a definitive start and end that are seperated very clearly.
This is all hypothetical of course, but I figured I would post this ahead of any potential discussion following the release of field offices.
There probably isnt a category because nobody requested it and this game has way too many categories as is. Either way, it is is too simple and quick to be worth making a run of, there is little strategy involved. This is all my opinion tho, I would wait for a mod response.
It is a pretty simple run for new runners, I recommend it! Feel free to ask questions on the discord as well!
Updated link. Doesnt expire. https://discord.gg/vf3uz2t
https://discord.gg/vf3uz2t That was an old policy, I just forgot to update it on this forum. The Heartbreak link had been unlimited for a decent amount of time now. The only reason it was like that was an attack on the server a couple years back.
The ILs were added recently based off of Cyberscore on behalf of the original submissions, but because it is such a simple name they likely just messed up. If you message a mod, they likely would remove it. Though if you are the same person who submitted ILs to cyberscore, there is no need to do anything.
https://discord.gg/N5NBnPn Here is the new link, this should be fine for awhile
Apologies, the discord invite links were made like that due to security issues. That link was only available for a short timespan because it was posted for a specific person who asked. I can post another one soon with a bigger limit though.

Maybe tweet at Connor75, worked for me in the past.
It seems like (based on something Zoekay said in the AC discord) he wasn't planning on adding it as a standalone category. I would join the discord and talk to him about it.
