Hi, there are 2 important things to know for the trick with the canon guy,

1. Before using the barrel on yourself, wait until you see the name "Barrel" on the top left as you open the menu. If you open the menu and spam the B button to use the item as fast as possible, you will be too fast and the glitched menu will be a different one if step 2 works. After using the item, you need to talk to the canon guy exactly 9 frames after the "Barreled!" textbox disappears.
2. If step 1 successful, you'll enter a glitched menu in which you need to do the following inputs: Left x1, B x1, Left x1, B x1, Left x1, B x1, Left x1, B x1, Left x26, B x1 The first 4 left inputs have a small delay (the canon guy will freeze for a short moment) before you can press B, same for the first 2 left inputs of the last 26. The last 24 left inputs can be mashed as fast as possible.

Ah, I see, seems like the terranigma devs didnt think anyone would keep gathering xp after lvl 50, lol. Thanks for testing this, but since there's never going to be a true 100% category for the terranigma leaderboards (not even a normal 100%) it's just nice to know.

However, 999999 is not the cap in the original game, you are possibly playing on a rom hack or edited rom. I doubt the english version of the game has a different cap than the japanese.

There are no clear rules for true 100% and there will never be a category here for that. No need to open all chests. The additional magirocks are not intended, it's a glitch. Defense is not important at all, it's all about strength. The XP cap is at 800,000ish, not at 999,999. Could possibly add one ra dew drop, snow leaf, crystal and a log, but definitely not 9 of them. Changing any armors later on is just a waste of time at lvl 50. We go in the box at the start of simon says to start running immediately, which is faster than waiting out the first message.

True 100% is:

• lvl 50, 99,999 money
• all items 1x
• 97 magirocks
• all weapons/armors (have them owned once, need to thrash weapons/armors once in the run)
• own all pots (life,strength,defense and luck)
• expand all towns
• save Rob Wood
• Polynesia + Mu
• buy Ark's Flat and all furniture

Hi avengah, basically it's like 100%, but with max. Level, max. money and collect each individual item once (bulbs etc.). 100% in Terranigma means:

• 97 magirocks

@Pikachu Yeah I meant emulator, that is even bigger than just emulator settings. Depending on the game, this can make a HUGE difference, way more than changing emulator settings. Why did Dea1h not ask if the new settings OR emulator he used are actually viable for this game? He started using it without asking Turanin if this emulator has been tested to be legit. As I said, there is an audit log to see when the rule changes were made and when Death submitted his run. I highly doubt Turanin did this on the same day, he can show it for sure. Since nobody really used this forum before and there is no discord community, I can quite understand if there was no notification for either the rules and Dea1h not asking anything about the legitimacy of the emulator he started using. It is good when a game gets updated rules, but I can quite understand that he wouldnt go to Death's chat ever again after you and Death called him a cheater for no reason. Maybe Turanin should create an official Discord server and you guys join there, so things like that can not happen anymore :) Whatever, Death said he can do it on legit setup again, so no problem about the rule/emulator changes I suppose!

If other communities allow cheating, should Light Crusader allow cheating as well? If its faster than real console, it has either to be a seperate category or be banned, no matter what other communities do.

I never said he is cheating or tried to, but it seems like he tried to find solutions how to gain an advantage over Turanin in other ways than practicing and getting better at the game.

Turanin has approved all of Dea1h's runs in the past without any problems and now as he changed his emulator settings, that are proven faster than the original setup, is a valid reason not to accept his newest run. Pikachu's run got approved as it appears to be absolutely fine. The leaderboards are there to show the fastest times on a legit setup, not on setups that give you advantages over the real system. About the rule changes: there is an audit log to show when the rule changes were made. I don't think Turanin would do a sneak attack and change the rules on the same day the run was made. Not to mention: showing key bindings is not a rule that has to be discussed with the community as it a very simple task for anyone to do - without any effort. It is also a common rule for many games on SR.com.

Hey, turbo is not useful for the Terranigma Speedrun anyway (you lose time by using it). Nevertheless we decided to stick to the common RTA standard rules here on SR.com, means it's banned by default. If you use snes9x simply enable the input display and you'll be fine :)

Hello! I would like to request leaderboard moderation on the Seiken Densetsu 3 leaderboard. For the last 2 months I spent studying and grinding this game and I'm nowhere close to stop, it's just the beginning. There are a few reasons why I request this:

• I have a run pending for a few days now - the supermod is daily online and can't accept the run (as he doesn't have a run himself so he probably can't judge my run)
• the leaderboard is not up to date - a lot of runs from various runners are missing
• the gamerules are not really defined (e.g. any% should be any% NMG as gamebreaking glitches are not allowed in that category and theres no MG category)
• there are PB's that are with wrong timing and never got retimed
• none of the moderators have ran the game and are not able to tell if the run is legit or not I know the supermod of this game and contacting him always turned into no response in general. My idea is to revamp this leaderboard and make it up to date for today's standards. For example, it is the only game in the Mana series that takes japanese RTA timing which increases the game duration by over 17 minutes without any game value. On other Mana games, there are seperate categories for that. It is a very unkempt leaderboard and I would love to take the task and change this - the current Mana mods have been mod for years, but never did anything for this beauty. Thank you!

there's no restriction on using any of the available versions (language,PAL/NTSC) but I highly recommend using the USA-NTSC version. It's the fastest version. There's a tutorial from LeHulk from 4 years ago, it's rather out-dated, but there are still useful information in those videos. Other than that, LeHulk's PB has the most recent strats.

Hello @Seydie. I (and a friend=Zockerstu) have now submitted a full run of The Legend of Zelda: Goddess of Wisdom. The only mod is inactive for over 2 years now and will probably never return (at least not with this nickname) since this name has a cheating past. Could we get the super mod status since we are routing this game and plan on improving it even further?

some friends and I are going to route The Legend of Zelda - Goddess of Wisdom, there's already a leaderboard for that but the guy who is the only moderator hasn't been online for more than 2 years.There's only one run on the leaderboard without video as well.
