all categories use the built in speedrun mode
We can argue about timing methods forever. I'm just gonna say that TLOU on PC benefits from LRT, loadings are usually inconsistent and game still tends to crash.
"all the categories that aren’t Any% go against it since the point of speedrunning is to beat a game ASAP" Can't agree. It's to beat game ASAP with selected rules/options. If the game offers multiple features/options and they majorly change the gameplay then it makes sense to create multiple categories.
The game varies a bit when watching cutscenes fully and when skipping them. Also not skipping cutscenes kinda just goes against the nature of speedrunning.
The ASL timer doesn't stop on cutscenes, it prevents abusing them to save time, just like it can happen with ingame timer. So you have to skip the cutscenes everytime.
No, you have to use the ASL for Livesplit
even PC competition isn't fair because of hardware differences
There aren't any tutorials for segments besides trevor%, best way would be to ask questions on gta 5 speedrun discord
You got wrong account buddy
any% - means least you need to complete the game 100% - ingame completion of checklist any% classic - classic way of playing gta, no fast travel, no usage of ingame feature of skipping missions by 3 mission fails and must pick ending c any% nms - fast travel is allowed, any ending is allowed but you can't use ingame feature of skipping missions by 3 mission fails any% ms - fast travel, any ending and mission skipping is allowed same rules apply to 100% segments are just cut out parts of classic route, mainly for practice or when you don't have time for long runs
Hmm, I have an issue of autosplitter not starting the timer. I have Scriptable Auto Splitter in the layout pointing to the ASL file, is there any other thing I need to do? Other than that, splitting seems to work once I'd manually start the timer
Paleto segment NMS would be the same as classic rules, there's no place to use a cab there
