These are some valid points, as Learning to Fly is part of the story to complete which I think could stay, I could agree with the other schools going to CE
I think it'd be nice to seperate them, seeing how some missions are between those 2 versions. Would be nice to compete against if they were seperate.
Great example: 8-tracks having 6 laps on remastered version instead of 12, and 4 laps in dirt track instead of 5 which makes sense to seperate as how different those 2 IL's are between versions.
Showing the block animation avoiding CJ's stop animation that can be used on markers that you need to stand still to trigger. Useful on parts like inside Co. Pizza (Ryder) and before Freddy's chase (OG Loc).
I think there are a few IL runs that could have purpose in the leaderboards.
Could be nice:
LS, SF and LV courier Kickstart (finish with all checkpoints collected in time)
Maybe:
Driving, Bike and Boat school (whole set) Freight (2 levels) Ammu-Nation Valet parking
Could be the radio that plays inside is missing which will cause the game to crash
This seems to be forgotten, while the timing rule has been discussed and alot of people thought that it would be better to change the timing. As we have most people running with cutscene skip and very few with -0.8. The All Missions gt skip has been added but what about the timing now?
In my opinion, it should start whenever you have control in the cutscene, because of traffic & traffic light abuse.
Like lelreset says, I agree to start timer as soon as you can skip the first cutscene after "Francis INTL. Airport, Liberty City, 1992" because it affects the traffic cycle and traffic in general. The reason why GTA III got a new timing start to be considered WR for same reason.
Timing should start at cutscene skip to keep it more consistent. If it's slight faster to start at cutscene end, would somebody want to watch 3 minutes of the first cutscene everytime you start the game?
Accidental cheats should NOT be allowed in my opinion, it would be too much to work around (eg. faked to be accidental). We do have KZ's AHK script helping against that.
Frame Limiter should be kept at the same for everyone. Even if it's a game option, it would be logical to keep it "On" for everyone in my opinion.
Last WR (and tied) runs we got links for to be added:
Chopper Checkpoint (2:07) Desert Tricks (1:49) Dam Rider (1:43) Into the Country (2:42) Quarry 7 (3:06) SF to LV (2:27) Highjack (1:23) Badlands A (2:06) Badlands B (2:13)
Found links to these WR's:
Amphibious Assault (2:18) End Of The Line (10:58)
I keep IL WR runs updated for myself as watchlist. I couldn't find links to every runs in my browser history. Some of them might be outdated since it was before IL's got removed. Hope this helps. Here's the runs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8jn0cxs6qcwg96u/IL%20WR.txt?dl=0
When you open Splits Editor, have you made sure to deactivate it next to Auto Splitting is available (By tduva). If you use an autosplitter from both Splits Editor and Layout, it will split twice.
There would still be an Any% without the rule. Any% and Any% NMG would be seperated categories in the main boards.
