The ammo counter is required to be visible, that doesn't necessarily mean you need to have it visible at all times. It automatically pops up(and fades) when needed and you need to keep the area where it pops up clear of any obstructions.
The mods are so overloaded with a backlog of runs that they would not have time to check any runs in other categories. You should try volunteering to help them with the workload so that maybe they can bring in other categories.

Thanks for breaking my post down sentence-by-sentence and taking them out of context. Real petty.
The truth is there's a huge backlog, and the current mod team is more than a week behind.
My experience with attempting to volunteer has been met with multiple outright "Nope, we're good" and nothing about that makes me believe that you're considering anyone that one of you do not have a personal connection with. You play the "We're taking our free time to do this stuff outside of all the other stuff we have in our lives" but then you're refusing help from people who are willing to do the same, I don't know what kind of protection from criticism you're expecting that to grant you. There's no difference between us in that regard, except that maybe you got here early enough or had some sort of connection to the person that first set up the game on this site.
But you pull the "we're doing it out on our own time" card and just accept the backlog instead of bringing on people to help clear it, as though you're doing something that no one else is willing to do.
My gripe is not so much with the time it takes to verify runs, but more so with the fact that despite there being hundreds of hours of a backlog in reviewing footage, mods are outright refusing any assistance in clearing that backlog. This makes it seem like the people verifying runs are an uninclusive lot who don't really represent the community of speedrunners, but a more tight-knit circle of friends who don't want any outside influence in handling the verification of runs. Why wouldn't you accept more help in verifying runs?
It makes sense that popular streamers and mods would receive verification ahead of the submission queue, I can get that, but the fact that multiple runs from these types of people have received verification more than a week ahead of people who have submitted up to more than a week prior, and when someone who comes along and offers help is outright refused, with quote: "Nah, we’ll get more mods on board if we want to" and "We're doing fine. Thank you for the offer though." it doesn't seem that you have the community's best interests in mind. Threads like this show you're not "doing fine" and that more manpower is needed in order to keep the leaderboards up to date, outside of streaming mods and spicee.
I will admit though, I was mistaken in underestimating the effort you were putting in, as I mistakenly thought the dates on the leaderboards were verification dates rather than submission dates. I really am sorry for insinuating a lack of effort on your part, but isn't it evident that the current moderation team isn't large enough to handle the popularity of the game? And that just maybe a larger team is needed?
There's only been 5 runs verified in the last week, and 4 of them were WR's in their category, the other was a 10th place time done by a mod that was done 2 days ago and verified on the same day.
That said, I have volunteered to become a mod, hopefully I can help to speed things up.
If you're not at the desired FPS, the only ways to get there are to either reduce your graphics settings or to upgrade your hardware, not really any way around it.
The main issue is that nearly all of the FPS changing skips aren't actually any faster, but they result in shorter times because the timer doesn't take into account how long it takes to change the FPS, which in many cases is more than the actual real time they're saving.
It takes less real time to get through or past those enemies without pausing by using weapons or baiting attacks or whatever than it does to pause, change fps, move past the obstacle, pause, go through the menus, change fps, but because the timer doesn't take that into account, they're basically free seconds off the time that are pretty much unearned.
Even with the baby skip, the time it takes to menu through the fps changes to do the "fast" skip is comparable to the skip where you go in the kitchen and bait out the lunge, but that's only because you're not timed on the menu, and in real time there's not really much of a time difference between the two.
So they aren't even "timesaves", they're just times where stopping the clock and going through the menu will save you the amount of time it would take were you to do something while the clock is running and it doesn't matter how long it takes you to menu, and depending on how you look at it, we're either being rewarded with faster times by pausing the clock and playing it safe or we're being punished for saving real time because we're not using pause.
djragon_warrior is right.
While you're holding the switch, make sure you're looking down and to the right as much as possible, be ready to book it towards the door once you regain control of Ethan, then while going down the path hug the right side and you should clip right under/through Moreau.
No frame rate tricks or anything are needed, but his legs and his tail do have collision, so if they hit you, you might get pushed in an unintended direction.
