I just updated and created a bunch of new categories. Hopefully this covers everything. Have fun!
Thanks for playing and joining the community! I have done my best so far to try and make clear guidelines for speed running Demeo, there are just so many variables with this game! I can add 3 player categories if that is what the community wants. I try my best, but life, work, kiddos, ect. make it tough! :) Feel free to message me with your needs or wants and I will try to get them addressed. Also, if anyone wants to party up for a run, hit me up!
Cheers!

The actual run starts at the 7:30 mark. Sometimes im not so good at editing videos 🤣
That all sounds great man! Feel free to use any formatting from here you want. I have a lot of experience in moderating games, if you want to add me ass a moderator when you make the page, I can help you set it all up. I friggin love Demeo, so anyway I can help the community to bring more attention to this game I will. Once the new page is up, I may even be able to link them together. Let me know what you think.
Im not sure exactly how I would add PC runs to this page without having dozens of categories. I think starting a new Demeo PC version page may be the way to go. I could help with that if you have interest. Have you recorded any runs yet?
To make things less confusing I renamed the categories with a straight forward labeling system.
P=Player, as in how many people are playing.
C=Characters, as in how many characters each person controls.
Example: 1P4C= 1 solo player controlling all 4 characters.
I hope this is agreeable with everyone, let me know if you have any comments.
Im not a mod, but I would think a VR and PC versions should probably be in separate categories. I think the user interface is significantly different. But then again, most of the time save in this game comes from good RNG, and that is the same on both versions. Overall, as a purist, I would keep them separate.
Now that the developers have released a game mode that allows 2 players to control 2 characters each, could this please be considered for a category. I know 3 or 4 players who would love to post some co-op runs. Trying to get 4 people together for a run is much harder than 2.
I recommend using a foot switch to activate and end live splits. I feel it is by far the easiest and most accurate way to time your run. Also, it can be done while blind in a VR headset.
Any plans on adding categories for the 3rd adventure, and the 4th coming out next month. I would definitely like to submit some runs. Also, would you consider categories for 2 and 3 person runs?
Can we change the rules on timing to reflect how the game is actually timed? The rues say the run starts when you press start on the title screen. But everyone on the bord is starting their time from the first frame you take control. So which one is it?
Would it be possible to make a category extension for use of the NES Advantage controller. Ninja Gaiden has this category and its a whole new challenge to the game. Here is an example, what do you think?
