New Jersey, USASo, I had a thought about using the John skins as an incentive for marathons, so I started testing some of them out. The one I like the most, and hate the most, is Lizard John. He runs twice as fast as standard, but he also seems to fall 2x as fast. This makes him unable to do the ledge clip in 7. Welcome to Mall City, Mr. Anderton.
So Dallas has a couple of key advantages.
First is that they're right at the top of the menu, only one input away, where as a team like the Lakers are a little further down. Now while that wouldn't be too bad once, the fact that you have to reselect your team each division means you're having to scroll to LA 5 times.
The other thing is the teams themselves. Nowitzki, Finlay, and Nash versus Bryant, Shaq, and Fisher. Both teams are similar, almost equal. You have 2 blocker (Dirk/Finlay, Kobe/Shaq), 2 decent stealers (Finlay/Nash, Kobe/Fisher), but the main difference I see is Dirk v Shaq. Dirk, while inconsistent, can drain 2 pointers. Shaq is even worse from long range. In some offline testing I did, I shot 100 shots with both players. Shaq shot 55%, Dirk 71%. I then timed what the typical missed shot cost, time wise, to be about 12 seconds. 16 more missed 2's at 12s each equals 192 seconds, or 3:12 minutes, in lost time.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
