I have only recently noticed some differences between IGT and real time of players on leaderboards. Then I found that the timing mechanism of the IGT was faulty. It doesn't match the actual time of many players. I think we should use real time as the default timing to make the speedrun rules fairer for players.
And on IL leaderboard, some runs that were uploaded may have been confused with players. For example, it shows WEGFan's MLBR 36s, whose video description shows that the run came from another player. And all peter's best runs are on http://wogfan.rf.gd/ptr231_scores.html. So I think some of the runs that are uploaded from wogfan are not made by him.
Like some other games where speedrun differentiates versions, I thought it was necessary to do the same with WOG. Not only is version 1.5 different from version 1.3 on several levels, but version 1.5 can click the end button faster at each level, while version 1.3 will have more or less a delay here.
I also noticed that a lot of official level world records are missing from the level runs page. This makes it look a little bit chaotic. However, some world record holders are now hard to contact. I thought we could upload them to speedrun.com. After these record holders upload their runs here, the uploaded runs can be deleted. Considering that WOG has very few speedruns compared to other games, some older runs can also be uploaded. If necessary, I could collect some runs online and connect with some of the record holders.
These levels include Regurgitation Pumping Station, Genetic Sorting Machine, Product Launcher, MOM's Computer, Deliverance, Observatory Observation Station. Considering that all levels have clear timing rules in the game, timing through video is entirely possible. There's no problem with just stating the rules. Each of these levels ends with the scene beginning to darken. If you enter the level from the chapter, the level begins to shorten from the black block on both sides to start the timer. If the "Retry" button is used to enter the level, the level begins to time from the beginning of the mouse.
