Massachusetts, USAI swear this used to be a setting, but now I can't find it, and all versions of a game I moderate are being counted as equals, even though the new versions are what matter. Is there any way to make it so runs are automatically labelled obsolete when not using the latest version/default of a certain variable?
For a game page I'm moderating (https://www.speedrun.com/mega_man_arena/), obsolete runs don't show even after filtering them to be shown. I know it's not just me, another person in the discord said it didn't work for them either. The runs still exist, you can see obsolete WRs when you view the table for all IL records, and it doesn't label things as "empty" when they have obsolete runs in them, but the runs aren't shown anywhere (other than the IL table).
Runs are now obsoleted when they aren't in the most recent version (currently 3.0). If you want to see old runs, you can always go to [filter>obsoleted runs>shown].
Because Guts Hell is a run that will always be done on old versions, all of the runs are automatically labelled "obsolete." This isn't true, runs in Guts Hell can never be obsoleted since they'll never be outdated. It's a meme run anyway (even though its hard as all hell), so I figure it's a small sacrifice having to click "show obsoleted runs" for that one category in exchange for the rest of the categories and ILs having better organization and archiving.
Not that it's relevant to anyone, but rules for multiplayer Marathon% have been changed a bit. Now, all characters must be used to beat every boss, but each player combined has to play all the characters. For example if I play Mega and you play Proto, neither of us has to play Mega or Proto again because 1 of us played them.
Again though, no one has friends to do runs with anyway and there's a global pandemic going on so this won't matter for a long time...
In Mega Man Arena ILs, there was one run, that is now obsolete to be fair, but the entire time that it was up, when you viewed all the ILs as a spread sheet, it would always list that run as the WR. There's nothing that disqualified the actual WR, and even when the person who originally made the cursed run did another one that obsoleted it, the cursed run was still listed as the WR in the overview. When you clicked into the specific IL and category to see all the runs, the cursed run would be listed in its proper place, below the real WR. We decided to delete the run and put it back up, since even though it was obsolete, it was still important to keep the run up as a piece of history. Even after removing it and re-verifying it, it once again listed itself as the WR. As much as we'd like to keep it up, it doesn't seem possible without glitching the site.

Doesn't disqualify any existing runs that I'm aware of, but it's something important to keep in mind.
In the speedruns for Mega Man Arena, one variable we include is version number. With each new major version, new characters and bosses are added, so for our category of Marathon%, where you beat all bosses with all characters, obviously the older versions will be faster. However, we want to obsolete the old marathon run because it's impossible to beat and no longer representative of the game. I can't find any setting to obsolete runs by version though. Is there any way to obsolete the run without completely removing it?
