Go ahead and give the run a shot. If you do, post a highlight of it in the discord to see if anyone else has interest in it. If some other people go ahead and give it a shot I can add it to the category list.

Sorry for the late reply Arq. Hopefully you'll see this reply. The only emulator that's allowed for submitting runs for PC is Fusion 3.64. You have a somewhat extenuating circumstance, but the issue with emulators is that there is always the possibility for abuse. If you have absolutely no other option for playing the game other than Wii, then you can use the emulator there with the caveat that the run needs to be streamed to be eligible for submission. Again, if you have a PC compatible gamepad you can always use Fusion 3.64 so long as you stream your run. If streaming is impossible for you, then the game will have to be played on the vanilla wii vc, steam, ps3, xbox360/xboxone, or original hardware.

That way we can communicate more easily and you can ask around for resources or advice. Hope we can get you running soon! Once again, I'm sorry it took so long for this response.

I'm not sure I completely understand the situation but let me attempt to answer. If you are playing on the vanilla Wii VC then it can be labeled as Wii VC. Did you have to install a 3rd party emulator on your Wii to enable the gamecube controller compatibility? If what you installed was just a way to use the controller, then you can label it as Wii VC, but if you installed an entire separate program then I'll need a little more information. Also, if you have a usb controller/xbox controller/ps4 controller you can also download Fusion 3.64 as your PC emulator and you can play using that. If you end up downloading a PC emulator the correct submission tag is either PC[emu] or Genesis[emu]. But please respond and let me know the specifics of what you mean about a wii emulator. Are you referencing just the vanilla Wii VC? Or did you install something separate?

I just posted my fixed world notes and a zip file with images of levels 2-25 that are fully revealed. Hopefully anybody looking to learn the run will find this stuff useful! I would strongly recommend going through level by level and making save states at the beginning of each level to make learning easier. GL HF everyone!

For starters, I want to say that it's sweet that so many runs have been coming in lately! Keep it up! With that, there has been a little bit of confusion about timing so I'd like to clear that up for everybody.

You should be starting your timer at the same time you select your world. So before starting the timer you will have to select either "Play as ToeJam", "Play as Earl", or "Play as ToeJam & Earl". You start the timer at the same time as you select whether you are playing on the Random World or the Fixed World. When you finish your run, (Hot Tub and Funk Lord are different, I will give separate rules for them further below) you should stop the timer at the same time as the screen goes black when you touch the 10th ship piece. You don't have to wait for the ship piece animation to complete.

Hot Tub% Timer Stopping Point: You should stop the timer when you see and hear the splash. I will go frame by frame in the verification to see where the timer was when the splash sprite appears. We currently don't have the option to differentiate between tenths of seconds. If, for example, two people had two different runs of 1:00.98 and 1:00.42, they would be listed as tied for their respective position. So make sure to put your full time in the comment of your submission.

Funk Lord% Timer Stopping Point: You stop the timer at the same time that the "Funk Lord" text comes up after all of the fireworks have completed. It is at that point that you are officially a "Funk Lord".

Glad to see you interested in TJ&E! Feel free to send me a Twitch message @ HoodyTwoShoes if you have any questions.

It's allowed, I think most people simply choose to play the steam version or use an emulator just because it's easier.

I can help out, but my current work schedule would only allow me to verify once or twice a week myself. If that's enough to help then I'd be glad to help!
