if you have the time and passion to speedrun the game, then shelling out $40 on a game disk and $20 on a capture card really isnt too much tbh
- mods dont have to verify runs 24/7. the mods have lives outside of gaming. it also says verification may take 1-3 weeks.
- is a forum post really necessary? now everyone who follows this game needs to see you complain. cant you just message the mods on discord?
afaik, inbounds runs are technically possible on console i ran console portal back in the day and bhopping is possible but hard on console
Name: Duck% Rules: Beat the game with a duck of any species in your lap. video:
how the hell did you find this? seems a bit odd to me how someone randomly activates a new cheat uand then remembering exactly what buttons you pressed and then realising instantly that it guarantees a death animation. seems a bit off to me
the ideal 120 run is 1:32:55. it is a TAS. it is unlisted but you can ask for it on the discord
not sure about the second question but i can answer the first question original xbox loads faster than 360. there are a lot of loads so you can expect to lose nearly 1 minute throughout the run. there is a positive side to using 360 though. lag clips are incredibly easy to do since the game lags more. you are still losing about a minute though so if you want to get serious about the game, you should get an OG. 360 is good for learning though
video proof is required for all runs. doesnt matter what platform
trevor% is already a shaky category. it was made to be a shortened run of classic% so people can still speedrun GTA 5. it cuts out 5 hours of the game. it does have some cool strategies. michael% would be the prologue, the shitty lamar mission. pulling favours. then michael's mission.
you should join the discord of SM64 BirdLaw. you will get a much faster reply from way more experienced players for questions you have
if you get this game on Wii U, it will be the NTSC version by default. PAL is slower but its not that much slower. it runs at 5/6 the speed that NTSC does (i.e it is about 17% slower). but on the plus side, it makes the game slightly easier :)
as a PAL player myself, i had to deal with that for a while too. its probably cheaper to buy a Wii U than buy a NTSC N64 + a NTSC copy of the game + a CRT TV (if you dont have one already)
the first person to get subhour will make history
interested in running this game. onn WiiU, is the PAL version slower on that than NTSC or JPN like it is on N64? thanks
thanks 8bitbeast. i think whilst im learning i might not learn feathers through FFM (already set up the file) but good to know that it doesnt lose much time. thanks again
i want to speedrun this game. i noticed on xbox (100% category) clankers cavern comes before treasure trove cove. but on N64, its the other way around. why is this? can i do TTC first? id rather do TTC first. how much time does it lose to do CC after?
thanks in advance :)
if you right click your splits > compare against > game time. you can also use the auto splitter to automatically split for you. go to edit splits and hit activate on the auto splitter
also no, you can't cut a run because people will think its spliced. you dont need to know the time without loads to submit though
