I don't think this is neccesary, there may bit a little more resetting now because of new items, but I don't see it being too significant. Could you provide an example maybe?
The movement items surely would only make runs faster. (On ND especially)
Hi anarcho_bidenist,
I don't think we would want to add this category as each run would be extremely long. (Several hours long, not super fun for reviewing.)
We are also holding off on adding new categories until we have more interest in the speedrunning community in general.
These sort of meme categories would probably be added after more mainstream categories. (ROTR, Breaching Scene, etc.)
Spirit has been moved to armswinger as his movement technique (redirected walking) is not accessible to all twinstick users. It is more on par with armswinger speed.
Hey Dino, just an update to this, we have discussed whether we are ready to add new categories and decided that we will have to wait for the community to grow more before adding them. Although this is likely to be a popular scene (especially if Anton creates an updated version.) and therefore may be one of the first added.
We've discussed this among the moderators, we won't be adding the meat grinder as a category for now. We don't currently believe that there is enough demand to justify a new category for it. Maybe as the community grows there may be enough demand for this category.

We are also considering adding it in as part of an Any% category, but again we will need for demand for such a category.
We've discussed this among the moderators, we will stay with the current ruleset. We have had this ruleset since the start of the leaderboards, and we think it should stay that way for now to avoid a huge meta shift. Maybe as the community grows we will add more categories such as Any%.
