You can't press Left and Right, or Up and Down, at the same time. As in the opposite directions on the d-pad. You can press Up and Right, Up and Left, Down and Right, Down and Left at the same time (these all move you diagonally, which is fine)! Hope this answers your question.

Did anyone even look at the video? This uses s+q so it breaks the rules for NMG Any% submission.

It could go on the extension tab for Any% with s+q, but it won't be unless the runner indicates he wants the run on there, which, to my understanding, he does not.

In NMG categories (except Master Sword) you cannot save and quit. You also cannot emulate a save and quit by intentionally dying: this applies on the overworld and non-dungeon underworld (e.g. caves, houses etc). Bizarrely however you are allowed to save and continue by intentionally dying in dungeons!

Keyboard is allowed yes. Take a look at the rules for emulators though which you can see on the category leaderboards. Make sure you choose an emulator which is allowed (snes9x 1.51+ for example) as well as adhere to the rules for mapping buttons and actions (1-1 action per button and 1-1 button per action). It's also useful if you're able to show things like an input display, your config, emulator title, FPS and roll the full credits in runs you submit. You can do most of this at the end of a PB pretty easily.

You can damage Mothula with Gold pokes still though :-)

Generally speaking pokes do damage of the sword in the class below and spins do damage of the sword in the class above.
