If you want to update your own game "to be supportive of this community", all I can suggest is adding an optional speedrun timer that doesn't count load times--games like Celeste have that very option, and it just makes timing more convenient. Other than that, welcome to the site.

To add on, with few exceptions, (as with 3ds CTR-V), anything that can record a video for your speedrun that's of decent quality is generally accepted.

Recorded on my garbage old laptop, and was uploaded 13 days before my 10th birthday, probably making me one of the youngest speedrunners ever.

I know for the holidays they said they were temporarily shutting it down to prevent further traffic or something, but with this new layout I can't find it. The page that shows stuff like the most games someones speedran. I thought it was interesting, did they remove it?

As for the speedrunning tournament thing, there's actually been quite a few indie developers that have done similar things. You can try posting in the Tournaments section of the forums with a link to your steam page and discord server. I for one would be interested.

There's tons of issues with these if we're referring to them being tracked on the site. If you want to run them by yourself, though, there's nothing stopping you.
