Glad you're enjoying it, received many verification notifications all of a sudden. I'm pretty sure you are correct in that those age groups are the same. Happy to leave as is though for now. The main run action will generally be on the easiest and hardest difficulties anyway.
Hi, can a Mod please fix the sorting of the Tournament board as it has the slowest time first? Thanks.
I have only played a couple of rounds on this game so wasn't sure myself, but just had a look. Here are the hole distances for each tee on the 1st at River Highlands. Red - 380 White - 406 Blue - 418 Red is the no-brainer choice.
Then there are 3 difficulties - Novice, Amateur and Pro. Your club distance is longer the higher the difficulty. Using the 1 Wood for example, you can hit it a maximum of the following yards: Novice - 222 Amateur - 248 Pro - 275
So Pro seems the logical choice there... However, the sweet spot (yellow hit zone) is much smaller on Pro than on Novice and Amateur, so more difficult to get right. Novice and Amateur have the same sweet spot, so I found that the difference between them was the swing time. Novice - 3.6s Amateur - 1.8s Pro - 1.8s
So it is easier to time it right with Novice, but for the purposes of a speed run, is actually a negative because it takes longer. To me, Amateur seems the right balance unless you get good enough to hit the Pro sweet spot consistently and take advantage of the extra distance.
Thanks, not sure it will be worth creating a leaderboard for every tee type, but perhaps just allow runners to choose whichever tees they want. Red is closest, so likely to be the fastest.
I was thinking that when I got added as mod the other day, but there weren't any runs on other courses so didn't seem worth the effort. Now that there are, we can look at it. We could change to IL and it would look like the PGA Tour Golf games leaderboards. Alternatively, we could add all the courses as main categories so they are all displayed on the main page. I'm not a huge fan of running any course the fastest as Any% as it will probably be clear there is one course faster than the others and they'd all be done on that one course anyway, leading to a duplicated course board. Let me know if you plan on doing a 'run all courses' and we can add that.
Hi all, I submitted a run in Greg Norman's Golf Power in November but is still pending. I believe others have pending runs as well. There is only a single moderator (RantronBomb) who hasn't been online for 11 months. I have tried sending a message to them here and they also haven't been on twitch for 2 years. I am happy to put my name forward as a moderator of this game.

FYI - RantronBomb is also a mod of 86 other games.
Many thanks
Can I ask the reason why you need to select 'New game' and go back to the game select screen every time you want to play a new hand? My runs were rejected because I selected 'redeal' instead of 'new game', even though the rules say you can select 'redeal'. It adds more clicking around menus and I'm not sure what the reason is, particularly for a game that you restart every 20-30 seconds on most occasions.
Also with Golf (No Dead King), you have to go and select 'No Dead King' again every time you start a new game.
If it uses the in-game timer why not just subtract the end time from the start time? Thanks
sure, thanks.
Desert Blast (easy) City Bound (medium) East Coast (hard) West Coast (hardest)
No, just wanted to make sure those runs wouldn't be accepted, as I've seen it happen in other games. Thanks! Is it possible to have the other tracks added as well? It seems only Desert Blast is used as the 'any%' run. Perhaps each track could have its own level leaderboard then have a full track run where you run all tracks consecutively? Maybe similar to how Super Mario Kart is set up? https://www.speedrun.com/smk
I know it does allude to it, but can you please make it absolutely clear in the rules that you must finish all tracks for a run to be counted? If someone were to blow their engine 4 times in a row they'd finish the run in 20 seconds, which would ruin the speed run of this game. Thanks.
Can you please confirm which tees can be used for runs? Red is the closest to the pin. White middle. Blue furthest. I would like to run this game but would be good if something was in the rules.
Hi, I would like some definition on the difficulty please. 2 of the runs used Amateur and 1 used Novice. It is probably not worth adding leaderboards for each difficulty, so perhaps we just outline in the rules that runs can be played on any difficulty, or just choose one that everyone plays?
Can you post this on youtube instead? The swf doesn't seem to be loading. Also how do you perform the big jump in the first level to avoid having to use the pig chute? Does is work on the SNES version or only Genesis? Thanks
