Category is too short and isn't really much. If you want to do runs of this by all means, but having this on the leaderboard seems weird.

A lot of ID depends on PC performance. I'm not sure if you have installed the 4GB patch that was posted in the rules and linked in the discord but this should help improve it. Having your fps high and unstable can also cause crashes.

Teen, 13 years old Written byCyanistic December 27, 2018 age 9+ Masterpiece A masterpiece.

This game has a one-of-a-kind story, innovative gameplay, and pacific positive message.

The game starts by telling you the background of the story, which described a war between the humans and a race called "monsters," resulting with the monsters being sealed underground with a magical barrier. The reasons and motives of the war is told later in the game, but that's spoilers, so I'm not saying for now. The game innovated RPG concepts with the "act" and "mercy" options. In fights, you can choose either be kind, use act and mercy to talk your way out, or to fight like playing a normal RPG game. Although the choice is yours, the game did more than urging you not to fight. The story is also very emotional and likable, with vivid characters and compelling plot. There are some scary parts though, such as the final boss of the normal ending and if you choose the genocide route. A lot of elements are also humorous. Some minor swear words and violence.

Undertale is a 2D role-playing video game created by indie developer Toby Fox. The player controls a child who has fallen into the Underground: a large, secluded region under the surface of the Earth, separated by a magical barrier. The player meets various monsters during the journey back to the surface, although some monsters might engage the player in a fight. The combat system involves the player navigating through mini-bullet hell attacks by the opponent. They can opt to pacify or subdue monsters in order to spare them instead of killing them. These choices affect the game, with the dialogue, characters, and story changing based on outcomes.

Outside of some artwork, Fox developed the entirety of the game by himself, including the script and music. The game took inspiration from several sources, including the Brandish, Mario & Luigi, and Mother role-playing series, bullet hell shooter series Touhou Project, role-playing game Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, and British comedy show Mr. Bean. Originally, Undertale was meant to be two hours in length and was set to be released in mid-2014. However, development was delayed over the next three years.

The game was released for Microsoft Windows and OS X in September 2015. It was also ported to Linux in July 2016, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in August 2017, the Nintendo Switch in September 2018, and Xbox One in March 2021. The game was acclaimed for its thematic material, intuitive combat system, musical score, originality, story, dialogue, and characters. The game sold over one million copies and was nominated for multiple accolades and awards. Several gaming publications and conventions listed Undertale as game of the year. Two chapters of a related game, Deltarune, were released in 2018 and 2021.

Toriel attacks a red heart, controlled by the player, with fire magic. Undertale employs a bullet hell/turn-based combat system in which the player controls the heart, avoiding attacks from enemies in between fighting, acting, healing, or mercy. Undertale is a role-playing game that uses a top-down perspective.[3] In the game, the player controls a child and completes objectives in order to progress through the story.[4] Players explore an underground world filled with towns and caves, and are required to solve numerous puzzles on their journey.[4][5] The underground world is the home of monsters, many of whom challenge the player in combat;[5] players decide whether to kill, flee, or befriend them.[4][6] Choices made by the player radically affect the plot and general progression of the game, with the player's morality acting as the cornerstone for the game's development.

When players encounter enemies in either scripted events or random encounters, they enter a battle mode. During battles, players control a small heart which represents their soul, and must avoid attacks unleashed by the opposing monster similar to a bullet hell shooter.[4][5] As the game progresses, new elements are introduced, such as colored obstacles, and boss battles which change the way players control the heart.[7] Players may choose to attack the enemy, which involves timed button presses. Killing enemies will cause the player to earn EXP (in turn increasing their LOVE) and gold.[8] They can use the ACT option to check an enemy's attacking and defending attributes as well as perform various other actions, which vary depending on the enemy.[4] If the player uses the right actions to respond to the enemy, or attacks them until they have low HP (but still alive) they can choose to spare them and end the fight without killing them.[9] For some boss encounters to be completed peacefully, the player is required to survive until the character they are facing has finished their dialogue. The game features multiple story branches and endings depending on whether players choose to kill or spare their enemies; and as such, it is possible to clear the game without killing a single enemy.[10]

Monsters will talk to the player during the battle, and the game will tell the players what the monster's feelings and actions are.[11] Enemy attacks change based on how players interact with them: should players choose non-violent options, enemy attacks are easy, whereas they become difficult if players choose violent options.[5][11] The game relies on a number of metafictional elements in both its gameplay and story.[12] When players participate in a boss battle on a second playthrough, the dialogue will be altered depending on actions in previous playthroughs.[13]

Among Us[c] is a 2018 online multiplayer social deduction game developed and published by American game studio Innersloth. It was released on iOS and Android devices in June 2018 and on Windows in November 2018, featuring cross-platform play between these platforms. The game was also ported for the Nintendo Switch in December 2020, and has planned releases for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. The game was inspired by the party game Mafia and the science fiction horror film The Thing. Since the release of its first map, The Skeld, three other maps were added, those being MIRA HQ, Polus and The Airship. The Airship's design is based on Infiltrating the Airship from the Henry Stickmin series, another video game series developed by Innersloth LLC.

The game takes place in a space-themed setting, in which players each take on one of two roles, most being Crewmates, and a predetermined number being Impostors.[d] The goal of the Crewmates are to identify the Impostors, eliminate them, and complete tasks around the map; the Impostor's goal is to covertly sabotage and kill the Crewmates before they complete all of their tasks. Players suspected to be Impostors may be eliminated via a plurality vote, which any player may initiate by calling an emergency meeting (except during a crisis) or reporting a dead body. Crewmates win if all Impostors are ejected or all tasks are completed, whereas Impostors win if there is an equal number of Impostors and Crewmates, or if a critical sabotage goes unresolved.

While the game was initially released in 2018 to little mainstream attention, it received a massive influx of popularity in 2020 due to many well-known Twitch streamers and YouTubers playing it. The COVID-19 pandemic has also been credited to the growth of the game. The game received positive reviews from critics, being praised for its gameplay and setting, although it was criticized for its technical issues. In response to the game's popularity, Among Us 2 was announced in August 2020, however, the planned sequel was canceled a month later, and the team shifted its focus to improving the original game. Among Us has also inspired the creation of multiple internet memes.

<unrelated new question> alright hear me out here, there's two ways to land after jumping in this game right? you got the neutral strafe "hard land" that stops you in place and the forward strafe "soft land" where you keep running forward. you can jump out of either one, and you can stop hop out of either one, but you want to use a different landing when you're stop hopping based on other stuff that's happening in the game. when you're on big flat surfaces or going uphill, you're using the soft landing because it's easier and smoother to not have to release forward while midair, and the jump window is wider on the soft landing, and on downhill surfaces or during some of the hard jumping tricks like the glitchless dam jumps you use the hard land kind because if you soft land on a downhill you can walk off a microledge and technically be airborne and unable to jump again, which is slow, and in those tight tricks that can kill your run because you'll fall and die. is there any pre-established terminology to talk about that difference, do we need to make some? I like hlsh (hard land stophop, pronounced hulsh) and slsh (soft land stophop pronounced sulsh)

Depends on what you're running on. For pc I recommend obs for recording and for console I recommend a capture card. The only thing is that the game is visible and the audio is ok in the recording.
