Hello everyone I have some exciting new to share with you all!! First off voting for the new category.. you all have made it clear (by half the votes) we want Glitchless. That is definitely a go go. However I have always planned on adding in the runner up for an additional category, but I did not expect Flamethrower and Chainsaw to tie in the vote poll haha! So after brainstorming and taking a look at the CE board. I thought...."should I add in the 3... but if I add in the 3, I may as well add all 4 no? You know what ADD EM ALL!" That's right after looking at the tallies and talking with the RE7 Mod team we are adding ALL 4 categories (Glitchless, Chainsaw only, Flamethrower only, and Handgun only) to the CE board! Yaay!

Rules for the new categories are TBD (were not there yet) but I promise you to not worry. I will always update you on the info before anything is posted.

Additionally! No Guest House will be moving from a category to a shiny new variable on ALL boards main game and CE!! With the exception of 100% since the Guest House is required to be played to obtain everything. Adding soo many new categories and new ways to play RE7! The most Additions RE7 has ever seen.

One additional note I want to bring up, after thinking about how Flamethrower would work and taking a good look at Clown's run of flamethrower only. There is a lot more research and thinking that needs to be done with that category. So we are putting a pin in adding Flamethrower to the CE board till more planning is done. You can help by researching with me and giving me your best attempt in the "New Category" server on the Discord.

This is going to take time to organize and update. So please be patient with us mods as we make the changes. We will be starting with moving NGH first so stay tuned for that change. Hi why are there no categories or anything on this page? There are people that want to submit and create a community with this game. I'm surprised this has not been flagged or automatically deleted per say the 30 day rule since there is nothing.

Hello Runners! Very important update for Banned footage DLCs. Salad has recently overhauled the RE7 autosplitter and the following changes and fixes are as follows -

• Daughters has now got an autosplitter, and the timing method has been changed to reflect the IGT rather than RTA

  • The timer will start after the first movie where Zoe is watching the news
  • Good ending will now split at the dinner table immediately after the trailer
  • Bad ending will now split after you get into the car

• Bedroom has also been changed to reflect IGT rather than RTA (There are no autosplits except the ending but they can be made if wanted)

  • The timer will start once you spawn in as Clancy when Marge first enters the room
  • The ending will split when the VHS screen pops up after escaping Marge

I will be retiming ALL the submitted DLC runs to reflect these new timing methods. It may take sometime so please bear with me till it is complete. All PC runs do NOT require the autosplitter to be portrayed on screen but is encouraged. Console runs are still timed via RTA but will be using the new starting methods too. Thank you everyone!

Hi, runners I wanna give a run down of some future plans for the boards. With the new strat revealed, allowing you to glitch with the Shotgun into the closet. I'm going separate that into its own category. Reasons being. Its a very big time savor allowing you to skip locked doors, shaving off a good chuck of time. The biggest/important reason for the board split, it was brought to my attention that you must be playing on a previous patch to achieve this trick. Because of this console players are unable to pull off the strat. You can't downpatch on PlayStation unless you have a disc copy of a game. Paper Dolls is a digital only game so that is unfortunate. Also i'm going to add an additional category. 100% obtaining all collectables and documents of the game.

I will implement these changes within these coming weeks.

How the boards will look moving forward

NMG (no major glitches) - Must be played on current version/patch thus banning the Closet glitch Any% - Can be played on any version/patch 100% - Obtain all collectables/documents

Another thing I want to bring up. There are stronger weapons that you can unlock through the Extras mode. I'm all for allowing them to be used in all categories since I don't feel like they pose a big enough game changer to warrant splitting up more categories. Combat in this game is not a big deal in the sense of enemies tend to die in two or so shots already.

Re7 has never had a frame/refresh rate cap

Loads do not count towards IGT so you are not losing time. That being said it is a loooooong load so if it really bugs you try for a SSD. Other than that there's nothing for PS4. Also the ending scene you want to skip right away, and is the only Cutscene that you can skip. Watching that play out counts towards IGT. (The Cutscene not the actual Black load)

Hi for PC and console, strats are the same with some alterations since PC has all them cool advantages .

Hi guys! after some thought we have come to a conclusion about Wiggle tech.

for anyone that does not know Wiggle tech is when you use the knife, and jerk the camera/knife when you attack back and forth. This causes a lot of damage and is VERY over powered. Taking this a step further combined with setting your DPI to high can cause some boss fights to die in a insane amount of time, is faster than any NG+ strat out there.

because of this we have decided to Ban Wiggle Tech for ALL categories.

allowing this strat completely changes every single category not just knife only, including routing and item management (eg. NG runs would be less NG, more lets go bad shit crazy with a knife since we no longer need all this ammo)

This new tech does not take any effort or skill and may cause some motion sickness. So to keep this game sane, fun, and accessible to new runners, we are not allowing this strat to be used Thank you guys for you patience while we looked into this.

I use it to force it into window mode and make it easier/ faster to alt tab in and out. for me anyway.

I don't see any changes with using it compared to CD.

as someone who has a life and a job I can say I don't give a crap about 6 mins. If you are to busy to reset over 6 mins then you are to busy to speedrun. Resetting is apart of running stop being a baby about it.

if we are going on that subject then, Mods have lives an jobs too and don't want to deal with this crap so you can save your precious 6 mins but no, no one thinks of the mods right?

Holding different weapons does not change your speed. Only when you fire your gun (NaH only) do you slow down. So choose your shots wisely.

if you're asking me to verify your run all runs take time to be looked at and may take up to 1-3 weeks to be verified.

You can find your rejected run in "pending actions" on your profile page.. select the run and it will tell you the reason. you should have also gotten a notification saying the reason as well

when you do it, note that it is still a PC run.

Hi, so currently this game already has WAY to many categories as it is.. so we are no longer looking to add anything new at this time.

This also wont change much in a speedrun perspective, since what you are asking is really just a NG+ run. which in fact would be slower since we would have infinite health so would not be able to take advantage of Claire's caution ability.

but as said many times in the Speedrunning community. You don't need a run on sr.c to validate you doing something. so if you wanna run the game with that stuff by all means.
