Yeah that and we don't know when the last input actually is for each episode. I mean would it be worth changing the start time for each episode to when you first move the character or interact with the game itself?
So after doing a run or two and watching some of the other runs there seems to be a slight varience on where the run actually starts. In the rules currently it says when you click on the hints answer at the start "Yes I want more hints" etc.
Personally I think it should be put down to when the screen fades in at the start of the episodes themselves. In terms of the finishing point for each episode do we have an exact time of when to stop the timer as that seems to be confusing also?
So far this seems to be the fastest route but not too sure, the RNG on the races doesn't seem to be too certain either as I found out that it changes all the time so skipping races on an event could work on one run but then fail on the next one.
If this is emulated why isn't the run in the emulated section of this game instead of PS2?
So after the latest update I cannot add a game to a series I am moderator of. For context in the previous versions of the website I've been able to add a new game if it's needed to a series that I'm series moderator for without having to go directly through SRC staff.
Why can I not add a game anymore to a series despite being the series moderator?
All I've seen so far is the same responses to people which is go through the website but someone has already done that and been told that I need to add the game myself being the series mod but there's no button or option on the series page to add it so what do I need to do to add it? Where do I need to look to find this option? :/
Not my fault that copyright system gives me a strike though is it? :/
How come having no game audio is an issue? I muted the game due to not getting a copyright claim again :/
Added you as a mod to add them yourself as I haven't got time to do so currently.
So thoughts on the new site look: Whilst it loads better in some places, most of what I know has been thrown out the window and there's a lot of things either not working or have gone missing. Like in a game series as moderator, how do you add a new game to the series yourself? There's no option for that anymore or am I just being dumb, I'm gonna echo most of what people have already said: New site update is terrible, please either test it properly with others before rolling it out or just don't try and fix something that isn't broken to begin with.
Honestly I've no idea how this happened either, reckon I could have been another minute faster if that didn't happen :O
So in the Arcade section of this game there's a story mode with 3 branching paths to finishing it and I was thinking we could have 4 different categories (1 for each path and Story Mode 100%)
Could this be added for the game?
I've already done a run of the easiest route for the Story Mode, this might help give an idea into what it might look like:
Not exactly true about NTSC being always faster, there are a few games out there where PAL is faster than NTSC such as Colin McRae Rally 2.0 as a great example.
In terms of seperating the game between console and emulator whilst we can do that it seems a bit pointless given there are not that many people running this game yet.
If the game gets more popular then I think it'd be worth splitting the two but for now I'd say anything goes.
So I'm guessing I already know what the answer will be but if you were to use cheats to beat the games (I don't mean a game code to skip levels) then could you still do a run and it be counted in some regard?
I'm guessing not but considering how hard Die Hard 2 & 3 are compared to the original I'm guessing this is a straight no but feel free to tell me something different.
Good question, I would be open to suggestions but for me it would probably be when you complete the Sebring Endurance event.
Any suggestions would be welcome though :)
So I think this probably goes without saying but after doing a few runs recently with the DNF skip on the Challenge mode it's fair to say this brings the category time down a lot, however considering it's limited to the PS1 version only what should we do?
- Allow the skip and let it sit with the other times.
- Seperate the Challenge Mode Speedrun up into PC/PS1
- Don't allow the DNF skip to be used at all.
Unfortunately that game is completely different to this one, the physics and whole style of the game is different.
The category has now been made and can be run if you wish.
