Sounds good, another good example of the patch versions could be the hades leaderboard: https://www.speedrun.com/hades Since this is a pretty major update it could be split like how they did it.
Thanks for posting this. :)
I don't fully understand how the in game timer works, but my guess is that the inconsistencies come from the level transition screens, as you can pause and see that right after level 1 the timers are not synced up anymore.
I think it makes more sense to use in game time because if we switched over to real time then slower computers could potentially be penalized. Having the runs be half a second different in real time but still consistent in in game time isn't to big of a problem.
With flash shutting down after 2020, I added some other ways to play exit path in the resources section, but I'll also post them here. Html5 version: https://exit-path.github.io/ Flashpoint download: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/downloads/ Record your runs with obs: https://obsproject.com/
I'm a few weeks late in replying, but this is really interesting. I always wondered why jumping at the start saved a frame, but I had no idea that more could be saved. This is the type of thing that makes me really wish there was a TAS, it seems that there would be so many small timesaves using what you found.
Maybe one day someone will actually use this (also all the other new strats) to break the recorded world record.
Uhhh there's a run that does Beta in 9.27. I'd recommend using the long jump and watching some runs.
Hey, I'd like to see a new discord be made. Also someone should remove the discord button on the left because it doesn't work.
Hey, though I would let people know I added the multiplayer levels as IL's. If you want to be able to play them you'll have to be a part of yck, if you want to join you should join our discord or dm me or something. Also if you do submit make sure to read the rules.
Yep I agree with Vertic, I would prefer segmented timer, so pretty much adding the game times together or pausing the timer when switching games.
Ya, I don't think anyone thought you were trying to trick them, just didn't understand the rules. I watched the in game timer at 1/4 speed and personally couldn't see the timer jumping back and forth. As for the armorgames leaderboard, there is no way to tell if there person used the pause glitch (or even the refresh glitch) to get those times, and for the top level times I think video proof should be required (almost every game on this site requires video just to submit a time). Also since the times are so close milliseconds do matter in this game, a 2:26.53 and a 2:25.01 could both show up as 2:25 on the leaderboard, and when one of those runs is clearly faster one should be ahead of the other.
Just curious though, would you ever try to do a 100% run? There's a lot of room for improvement on it, I'm sure sub 4 is possible.
Did this completely by accident lol. I know fourtwentyblazeit found a potential cool clip, but this one is a bit different and would definitely save time.
Huh cool, looks like you clip into the block and zip through some stuff. I tried it and wasn't able to do it, but also I don't know what levels this could potentially be useful in.
