I think it would be cool if we could have a separate Gameboy category, as the gameplay is quite different then the NES version. I don't think it would make a huge time difference, but would bring new challenges to a Tecmo Bowl speedrun.

I think it might be an April Fools joke, as this kind of came out of no where, an he just explains it as,"making it more fair and consistent." And he doesn't go much further with that. I feel like if they were actually going to ban EMU and VC, they would have more than just that reason and the post would be longer and have more explanation. I could be totally wrong, but I believe this is just an April Fools joke.

xbox one controllers are good, or you can buy an adapter for an original N64 controller and use that

Xbox One Controllers actually work pretty well, as RoyLGamer uses it. I also use it when doing emulator and it works fine for SMB
