I noticed a couple other things after watching that I mentioned in your comments. At the bare minimum, one more blue coin is 100% possible, but probably SUPER tedious (the moon in Pianta Village).
There's a glitch in the US version of the game that can make a balloon pop trigger the count twice, however I forget the specifics on how that actually happens. I'd assume that it would help though.
I forgot I made this thread lol. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to happen consistently. I kept dieing in a similar fashion just trying to beat the stage but it only happened once. I don't remember if I already grabbed the Life Shroom or not during that attempt, so maybe I hit that, though I'm not sure. But the spot you land on is around that Life Shroom.
Not sure if it'd ever be useful, but I found out that during the second Topman star (The one in Dreadnaught), if you die to a mine during the pull star segment, and catch yourself on a pull star presumably far away enough on your way back down, and still break out and fall back to the starting planet, on rare occasions you can start walking around with 0 health. One more hit and you still die though. I died before I could do much to see if anything happens... to one of the mines. (I'm bad lol)
Ok, so I did miss it then. And also looked at a completely different run. Sorry for that then.
I'm been doing a casual first playthrough as of recently, and had a bit of an oddity with collecting the Shine Sprite in Pirates Grotto in the room with the save block (The one that is in front of a ledge you can walk on top of, said area also had a stream running on top of that ledge.)
Basically, what happened was, since I didn't know how to get it I attempted a ground pound, which obviously failed, might have tried hammering it, but what I did to get it was walk off the ledge on the left side of the block, and somehow collected it. I wasn't aware the invisible block was in that room till much later and noticed this wasn't used in the current WR for 100%, so I'm assuming its either known and inconsistent or this is new. This was on the US release of the game. Unfortunately I can't really remember what else I did if anything I did beside walking off the ledge next to it.
Title pretty much says it all.
This happened when I accidently did the same thing with my first 100 man time, its confusing to submit these times for the first time, I edited mine to with loads after I realized it.
I'm trying to learn the skip for Tails' Ice Key but I can't find any decent tutorials, I can get the skip but not nearly consistent enough to use it in a run. Can someone please give me some advice on how to do this more consistently?
I don't know why I wasn't alerted to this responce 2 months ago, I appriciate the detailed responce and I am going to be attempting this again soon.
Can anyone please tell me how you're able to control the boomerang so well that you can hit multiple targets on the return swing, I can't find enough information and imitating other peoples runs isn't help, is it a version thing or something, or is there something I'm missing on the control?
