fwiw, broughy and his racing crew set a cap of 60fps in most of their events to ensure everyone is on an even playing field. free programs such as dxtory and rivatuner can be used to limit and display fps on screen. the racing community has debated the fps question for a while now http://nodo.freeforums.net/thread/9694/fps-boosting and we haven't really reached a consensus on whether or not differences ranging from 60-144fps have a measurable impact on lap times. framerates in excess of ~150 seem to produce noticeably quicker times, however
hi guys
the GTA:O racing community recently discovered a lil glitch called brake boosting which is used to gain a speed boost on certain bumps and elevation changes. this glitch can be combined with franklin's ability to reach some insane speeds a lot of fun to mess around with and would likely be useful in runs. enjoy
yeah, sometimes stuff can go wrong :x
with a bit more practice today im able to get it like 50% of the time, which isn't great. too bad this mission isn't earlier in the run
saves a bit of time. with perfect infernus parking you can delay the biker long enough to hit the snipe then kill the other guy before he gets past you and take his bike back to the mansion, saving a couple more seconds. the snipe itself feels similar to the old GA one and is pretty consistent
my PB route: -cortez between shakedown and bar brawl at the mansion -paul and avery after bar brawl while running back to mansion. started running on the small bridge before star island and they fit in quite nicely -sonny and long lance running to boatyard -short lance also same as adam -sonny 2 i took after collectors as rosenberg's call gets priority after PW2. after CtC i took sonny 2 while pushing the cheetah then drove the rest of the way to the mansion and took the final lance call in the regular spot
nodupe% sounds good to me as well
this just made my day
tested it 10x and was successful for 7 but died 3. a bit risky for me atm but still a great find and a big time saver. i think taxi 2 would be fine with the rpg as long as you aim well and don't blow yourself up. :x having to use the m4 to kill lance/sonny would be a tiny bit slower but that's not a big deal
not as good as lighnat0r's but i find it's much easier to do as you don't have to time when to jump off the bike. downside is that you have to get back up before taking the call but it still saves a few seconds compared to the conventional zip
a bit late but thanks for the tutorial, helped me out a lot, especially cone crazy. before i would do CC by using the in game clock and adding 17, 16, 15 seconds etc to end at the correct time lol :X much easier to do it your way
