There are 2 differences I know of. There is a language screen in the EU version which takes about 2 seconds. The NTSC version should be faster because it doesn't have the screen saving 2 seconds. There is also a crystal ball in the middle of the freeze tag arena in Gypsy road which it is possible to get the imps to get stuck in in NTSC that doesn't exist in PAL. The TAS uses this to freeze the imps really fast and it may be possible in RTA but I don't have the NTSC version so haven't tested it.
Moved it back! Not sure about the yoshi thing.. maybe we should have a vote on it?
Sounds good! As I have been on here a little less recently what with deadlines, having more people around could help! I know most of you from the Discord so I trust you not to muck up the leaderboards :p
Its not letting me get rid of speedrunRUS' runs for some reason. Gives me an error but not for other peoples runs...
Yeah definitely getting rid of SpeedrunRUS' runs. I will probably get rid of runs below 32 for any% just because that is where it starts to get a bit harder to improve times. For cannonless, I will probably get rid of runs below 2:15. For low%, I'm not sure what a good time is. I'm sort of thinking of moving it to the misc categories anyway if no-one has any objections to that.
Not really planning to go to any of the GDQs i'm afraid.
I am not able to stream so can't take part in this sort of thing. If it happens I might do a run alongside for a laugh :p
I'm pretty much done with the game for now. Any% is a massive grindfest now and I don't have the time to do the longer categories. However, I don't want to abandon the community and being a mod would be one way to stay involved! If any new tech appears I may come back to running the game :p
I would be happy to mod this game if people are ok with that. Don't know if any of the current mods read the forums anymore though...
I agree that a lot of the categories can go into the IL leaderboard. I also think that all normal levels and small mario only should be misc categories imo
For Spyro 2: SoF, the estimate can be taken down to 30:00 as a run would have to go horrifically wrong to go over that. As for NSMBWii, RTA runs start around 1:20 before a SDA timing run so it is a bit longer than it looks. A 35:00 is better because most mistakes have huge time losses. e.g, getting hit on 5-Tower costs around 3 minutes so the rest of the run would have to be flawless to get under 30:00.

Mafia is great! Will definitely join that!
Plaguedmind, did you get the email I sent you?
