The last one for me is Ghost of Tsushima. I've been a fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise for 10 years, and I couldn't believe how Ghost of Tsushima single-handedly discredited every single game in the franchise.
Other than that I have to say Detroit Become Human (I love cinema and this game is literally interactive cinema), Journey (old but gold), and Beyond Good & Evil (a timeless gem)
Are we getting more and more of those lately?

I would loooove to be able to choose my preferred language for the site, auto translation is cool but I need English back, French is so bad lol
Also I don't know what others think but I'm not a fan of regional flags being shown instead of national flags in the Forum and the Streams page. I thought it was cool to see where everyone came from by looking at the flag and because we're such an international community, but regional flags make it harder to understand because they're all so unknown. It's just a detail but I thought I'd mention it anyway
About the Streams tab, clicking on a livestream doesn't bring to the runner's Twitch channel as usual but to their Speedrun profile... so in order open the livestream we need to do it from the profile page that opens by clicking on a stream in the Stream tab, which is pretty weird
Hello, I don't know if anyone already mentionned this but the date selection box in the support ticket page is completely broken for me. When I choose a date and click on it it gives me the day before that, then when I click anywhere else it goes back from one more day, and if I try to type the date manually it glitches when typing the year (typing 2023 gives 0003)
The side spaces must stay clear to allow for ads I believe, it's dedicated to that purpose (if I didn't misunderstand you)
Well my bad maybe it's just a personnal thing, I shouldn't make it a general thing, sorry for the confusion
Yeah I agree it's part of the competition, that's why nothing can really be done about it, but to a certain extent it can be annoying to other players let's say. No explicit rule is broken, but I guess it's not very cool
And you're also right about the last thing, it's great that there's such a variety in games and categories. Going for every WR in every category is the ultimate goal, there's absolutely nothing wrong about that! It only becomes problematic when it comes with a behaviour you know, when a player acts kinda selfishly and ignores the rest of the community. Again, no rule is broken, but not cool
I know the question wasn't for me but I'd like to react to the previous post. Everything about farming is bad, whatever the farming concerns.
The word "farming" in itself is pejorative, it's like an extreme version of try-harding in a way. The underlying meaning behind this word is an unfair practice, motivated only by winning, having distinctions or more visibility... Dopamine fuel, basically. Speedrun.com like all forums and social places offers a great amount of customization and comparison between players, and the essence of speedrunning is also to be faster than everyone else, so competition is everywhere. In runs, yes, but also in distinction or visibility. That I think is what "farmers" thrive for, the feeling of reward.
Of course, statistics can participate in encouraging farming if they are not used wisely. Creating leaderboards like "most runs" or "most WRs" could be very unsane, pushing players forward and indirectly encouraging them to climb up, to be under the spotlight. @Matse007 speaks of "artificial number" and "unhealthy behavior", and it's exactly what farming is. It's a compulsatory need to be better than others, and we don't want speedrunning to become that. I love this community because it's so passionate, diverse and open-minded. Competition is only a mean of uniting players and sharing a passion. But when farming comes, passion disappears.
(did I take this too seriously lol)
Why do I see so many new accounts with red names and no flags submitting runs recently? They're all completely legit there's no problem, but why do they all look the same?
Look at this newly popular game: https://www.speedrun.com/herr_anwalt_lawyers_legacy ... I had never seen a leaderboard like this
And even in the game I mod https://www.speedrun.com/rider_mobile if you look at the most recent runs, there's so many!
Is it just the normal appearance of new accounts until they're members for long enough that they can customize their profiles or something like that? It just seems really weird
Adding the possibility to ban users from entire leaderboards and games could backfire as a mean for some moderators to abuse their power and put unnecessary pressure on players. It would be more than necessary for spamming users like @3r1ght describes, but it's an extreme case. I'm afraid it would do more bad than good. Let's leave this power to the Site Staff.
Hi, just reporting another tiny issue with the new profile overlay, I can't click on the person I did my coop run with anymore. Clicking on the username just brings to the run instead of their profile!
