I dont think this makes a lot of sense, night expediations arent really tied to a Mission in a speedrun sense, it also doesnt make sense to split an already not popular category.
You can run the category how you like, but dingo wont be banned for night missions under this cool ruleset
Sorry for the delay, talks of integrating Tir na nog is being discussed, but creating rules for RTA-timing needs to be solidified, it is likely these levels will be added some, however :)
I understand the desire for individual levels, unfortunately there are some complicated things to consider:
bayonetta is a great series, but admittedly not a very busy one. If I made ILs, most would invariably have 0-2 runs on them, which, lets be honest, would not be a very accurate leaderboard either. My main hesitation is in creating a lot of "WRs" that ultimately have no meaning. Based on this philosophy, I don't really see the demand to match for the creation.
However, I am always willing to have an honest conversation. The discord link posted here is a good way of keeping in contact with me, but I think this probably the healthiest way forward at the moment.
Hi All,
This is to confirm that the leaderboards are now live! Feel free to reach me on discord for any comments or concerns
Hi All,
Due to the often complex nature of Bayonetta speedrunning, there will not be categories created for this game until 1-2 weeks after its initial release. This is to ensure the speedrun reflects the desires of the community. If you would like to voice your input, feel free to join the community discord server linked on this page.
chr.mn has existed before speedrun.com, and hosts the japanese community widely, I understand that it is hard to use :(. Unfortunately, it doesn't make sense to port all of the scores to SRC this way. Furthermore, keep in mind that chr.mn is technically not speedrunning as much as it is score attack. If you join the discord then we can surely help you. Furthermore, Collect Treasures Row 1 RTA or the Side Stories full runs RTA are on SRC here as well. Thanks!
Small note, you say RTA but actually you probably mean IGT, when it comes to Rodin. I don’t think one Fight alone is worth putting on the boards, but I do have to give you credit: this was very impressive! you should feel proud of this this :)
The main reason we are hesitant is that all badges might require you to completely erase the game, bc badges remain even after deleting all the saves. It just doesnt seem very feasible atm. We will keep this in mind if new info becomes available
Hi All, This is a reminder that with SRC merging with the chr.mn/pik4 boards, we will be deleting the level leaderboard at the end of October. Please PLEASE consider submitting your scores to that leaderboard. Thank you. The pikmin 3 score boards are linked on this website.
Hi everyone, I have exciting news! We have worked together with the Japanese community (a VERY large community of talented players) and they have made their competitive score leaderboards translated to English for us.
In response, we are probably going to consolidate the Individual Level boards. This will mean bringing over the runs posted here to the website now linked on the side of the main page. This hopefully will lead to a better, fuller leaderboard, and increased competition :)
Speedrun.com will be still used for Story Mode Speedruns and Multi-Level Mission Mode speedruns (like for the Pikmin 3 boards).
If you have any questions, you are welcome to message me or post in this forum here.
Well I appreciate your enthusiasm, I think we’re going to reserve the leaderboard for a full game runs once the full game is released. Ultimately, I don’t think we want to have a meme run that will be obsolete once again comes out. That being said, I am looking forward to everyone’s runs in a week!
npc played on WiiU should be faster, in fact, because of fast loads.
I still think Drakodan has the correct idea. If someone is skilled enough to reset-less manip a dope run without resetting... well than they deserve it (a) and (b) as GFC said it is effectively unenforceable. Single-Segment solves all the problems, GCAH is happy bc he can manip a WR in SS, GFC is happy because they are separated, and the universe rolls on.
Personally, I am too lazy with other speedgames to learn rng manip, but like, a no-manip'r knows what a good time for no maniping is.
