Hello, I will perhaps be eventually interested in running this game but I am wondering if Loadiine is allowed. It pretty much lets you load the ROM on Wii U as if it was a virtual console game. If I submitted a run, I'd mark it as [emu]. Would that be ok?
Hello, I'm posting this here as this is not a bug, but rather an incoherent/incomplete function on the site that bothers me.
Basically, when I have my location set as Quebec, there are two sub-options that I can pick from: Québec City and Lévis. These are two rather precise cities from the province and it's just very weird that only those two are available. Screenshot: http://prntscr.com/oxbrnd
The solution I would like to propose to this would not be adding every city. There are too many villages here and it would simply be impossible to keep up.
However, our province is "separated" in 17 administrative regions. I would like to propose we add those regions as sub-options rather than cities. Administrative regions: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A9gion_administrative_du_Qu%C3%A9bec
It may be hard when it comes to finding flags, as only the regions of Montreal, Gaspésie and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean currently have official flags, but there have been propositions, which I will link below, that could be placeholders for those flags. Of course, this is not a perfect solution, but I think it's better than simply having two cities as a sub-option. Flags: http://drapeauxquebec.blogspot.com/
This is, obviously, a low-priority issue. However, I would love for the admins to get back to me to resolve this awkward thing.
Thank you very much in advance. Kindest regards,
I just wanted to take the time to thank the moderators for the recently added rules to this leaderboard.
It honestly was starting to get pretty annoying to see very high but suspicious scores and while this new rule surely got rid of many legitimate high scores (e.g. my 179 clones), I think it's a lot better for the integrity of the leaderboards and I totally agree with it and think it's a great decision.
Personally, two runs got me extremely interested in speedrunning.
Back in 2013, I found the current sm64 120 star tas and found it interesting. I found other RTAs and TASes and I remember telling myself how much I would like to speedrun 0/1 star.
The run that actually got me into speedrunning, though, was @Jcool114 's MKWii run at SGDQ17.
what about you?
hey!
im trying to learn the bljs in hmc that require you to blj for the whole time the elevator is going up and i find myself having a hard time consistently pressing fast for the whole ride up the elevator; i'll just end up normal jumping cause i didnt press fast enough after a certain point. my arms simply get tired and i let go. since im pretty dumb at knowing how to use a body, i figure i'd ask you guys how you do to hold fast pressed for an extended period of time.
i am decently good with this kind of vibrations, i can pull off about 12-13 clicks per second, but i have a hard time holding it for a long period of time.
what kind of arm exercises do you guys do to be able to hold bljs for a longer time?
sidenote: i have no problems with strength in general. in fact, i am better to do bljs with my weaker arm, so strength has nothing to do with this. also, this is the method I use and have been using since day 1 for fast pressing (with very slight differences):
thanks in advance!
I already know that loading backups off USB is banned, but I have a question about when it's burnt on DVD-R.
I owned a NTSC-J version of sunshine that I would like to load and speedrun from my Wii disc drive, but I lost the disc (Kappa). I have a backup of it on a burnt DVD-R. Are runs on DVD-R allowed? I know little to nothing about loading times, but I know that it wouldn't be fair to accept USB, but what about DVD backups? Thanks in advance.
Kreygasm Kreygasm Kreygasm
i seriously had the biggest possible Kreygasm when i saw this
i can finally be proud of being quebecois while i speedrun EleGiggle
and yall also did it for catalonia Kreygasm we can finally spread our separatist propaganda on speedrun.com Kappa
but seriously sorry for getting political here but this is probably the one of the coolest little details you have ever added on this site, props to the admins
thanks
probably a dumb question, but are there any banned third party controllers for the n64 version of the game?
what piece of hardware do i need to "double" a rca signal into two rca signals
is there a language or region that is faster for speedrunning this game? since you have to watch through the text bubbles, what is the best language to speedrun this game on?
I lost a ton of time on this star because I can't find a consistent way of doing it and I end up running out of time. Does anyone know how consistently do this star?
I did a 16 star run on this emulator at some point, but it was denied, and I didn't think much of it. But now that I think about it, its loading times, lag and basically everything else is ¤very¤ similar to console. Could anyone explain why it's a banned emu?
Consists of getting all 20 stars and all comet medals, unlike 20 stars which does not require comet medals.
How do you quickly select the star you want to play? I can see the speedrunners selecting the star very easily without the pointer.
