Greetings fellow Speedrunners!
Posting here for visibility (don't "post in the game's forums" me, it doesn't help anyone except your ego.)
I've been on the lookout for a tool or method that can extract & repack MHP1/2 saves, so players could be able to switch DLC Quests w/o the server, as well as access them at all for MHP, as Capcom has shut down that server in 2014.
My search has yielded little result, only a few mentions of tools, which either vanished into 404 Errors, or are not applicable to MHP1/2.
There is of course a workaround, involving a 2nd psp / emulator, and just joining the lobby with a save that has the quest. This, imo, is a bad workaround, cuz buying a 2nd PSP just to play some extra content is dumb.
I'm willing to cash out for a tool that will be available for everyone who might need it. (Totally not because I don't find any time cuz of work)
Required:
An Open Source Tool that runs on Windows, which is capable of extracting, adding & replacing DLC Data & DLC Quests, for Monster Hunter Portable, Monster Hunter Portable 2 & Monster Hunter Freedom 2. The Tool needs to work with all Regions of these games.
If you need Saves for research/testing your code, hmu on discord, I'll send you some w/ and w/o DLC downloaded.
Additional Info:
Monster Hunter Portable has 3 Quest Slots, Monster Hunter Portable 2 & Freedom 2 have DLC Data, and 6 Quest Slots.
Cash:
I'm offering $30 as of posting this, with an additional $10 for every month that passes.
The Bounty will be closed once the Code has been provided to me on discord. The pool will be distributed via PayPal in USD.
If anyone wants to add to this, feel free, I won't take responsibility for money that isn't mine though.

Would it be possible to get an IL page like the other Picross games?
(And if I might suggest, would it be possible to add subcategories to Normal/Hard? for Normal it's pretty lengthy to run all levels...)
To have a Ruleset added to the list, post here with a detailed explanation of what is & what is not allowed, as well as why it should be listed.
Current Rulesets:
Time Attack (verified) Runs that are following the TA wiki ruleset, and are verified on the TA wiki leaderboard. http://mhw.wiki-db.com/howtosolota http://mhw.wiki-db.com/howtosolota_en
Time Attack (unverified) Runs that are following the TA wiki ruleset, but are not able to be verified on the TA wiki leaderboard. (e.g. because they are no Top 3) http://mhw.wiki-db.com/howtosolota http://mhw.wiki-db.com/howtosolota_en
Naked
- No Armour
- No Decorations
e.g. something like this so if you haven't played in a while you can just look at it to get the pattern / route back into your mind. or for new players who can't remember it all yet.
Due to an alarming growth in people using mods (or even CheatEngine) to cheat good rng for Food, Spawns, etc.:
**PC Runs are currently not listed on this leaderboard page.**✱
✱(until a solution has been found)
Feel free to provide civilized input here or on the discord.

I'mma go with 200
Curios tbh,
as well as why not going for pure IGT in Classic ILs.
So guys you did it SM64 reached 10'000 runs and still growing.
the fact that you reached this number in such a short amount of time is just phenomenal I'm just amazed, thank you all so much for supporting this site and helping it grow.
I love you guys, you guys are just awesome.
heya, since there seems to have been a Doodle Jump Leaderboard before that suddenly vanished, we had a little bit of discussion on the discord. I digged a bit on google & wayback and found some records of runs for the old leaderboard. posting them here in case you want to re-add them.

just some stuff to look at.
you've got them completely reversed.
you made every IL a category instead of a Level. you want to add each level as a level.
I'd like to widen my horizons, possibly see things from additional PoVs, and maybe learn a thing or three about how humans tick.
For starters, ask yourself these two simple questions: • What is a Leaderboard? • What is on a Leaderboard?
Don't try to overthink these, just answer with what you think is the correct thing. We can always go deeper afterwards, but for now this should suffice.

I'm sure you all know that the full game will release soon. (4 days hype!)
With the end of the 3rd and last beta, we have to prepare the leaderboard for the full game.
No run will be deleted - we want to keep the records up. We'll move the Beta categories into a subsection, they'll become Misc. categories.
Instead there will be a "Complete the Story" category, as is tradition in speedrunning, it's called Any%. Any% runs are from a new game to the credits. specifics will be known when the game releases. If the need for it arises, there will also be a "all key quests" category or something similar, which can be done from an already completed file.
What does this mean? It means they won't show up as they do right now, but rather on a small sub-menu next to the normal categories.
Why the change? You can't play the Beta anymore, not to mention they'll be forgotten in 3 weeks anyway.
On another topic: I've been messaged multiple times about the pod exploit, and especially my stance on it. For Beta runs, to me all is fair game. It's a beta, there are bugs and exploits, use em.
for the full game, I was told the exploit is fixed. If it should be somehow still possible to use, there will be a variable on the leaderboard to distinguish runs that use it.
Happy hunting and have fun playing the game.

[section=FAQ] How do I join? All you need to join is a SpeedRunsLive account, then you're ready to go! It's recommended to join the discord so you know exactly when the race room opens. [small][small]Keep in mind that SRL has rules, so it's best to read them carefully.[/small][/small]
How do I join SpeedRunsLive (SRL)? @Legs made a super duper guide for joining SRL, it's easy to understand and follow. You can check it out HERE.
Do I need to join the discord? You don't need to join the discord to participate, but to vote on the next games, and to get our super cool emojis, you indeed need to join in on the action. It's also recommended to join to get updates in real time, for example if a race gets delayed. https://discord.gg/NncPJKy
Can I request X to be raced? If it can get a speedrun.com leaderboard, it's fine by us. Although keep in mind that we try to prioritize availability, so games that can be emulated and/or are free are more likely to appear.
We'll race All Cups (50cc) on Sunday, 26th November. Everyone is free to join in!

** 31.10.17**: Added the 4 dual hunts from The Dark Harvest
As I've been told a few times by newer people that the IL Frontpage was confusing to them, I've seperated the versions so they no longer appear on the Frontpage.
As of now, it's not possible to downgrade to a pre-REMIX version, until it is possible to do so, the categories containing these runs will remain legacy. This affects Kuiper Belt & Chuoku City.
If someone has an issue with how runs are displayed right now, or wishes to propose a change, please do.
~HDK
Picross S can be played by up to 2 players, so they can technically solve boards twice as fast.
Seperating runs from 2 players and those from 1 player would be the most fair imo.
PS: as a sidenote, would it be okay to use the game's notation of levels? P001 - Key for example. /edit: after playing for a bit longer, it seems like the Mega Picross don't have any new pictures, only re-arranged them - so just the name of the picross is enough for the listing, and the amount of ILs could be cut in half (300 -> 150) by using categories to distinguish between regular and mega. like 1 Player | 2 Player | 1 Player Mega | 2 Player Mega
