It could also be misc if it's really that bad of a category.
I use emu with WiiU adapter for gamecube controller. Which is pretty cheap.
Nice integrity, some people would have just kept that. Lol.
Is the DK64 version of this game any different from the original? Could someone submit a run using n64?
@Enigmaa OP's point is that 70 star's rules does not make sense because, as his video proves, you can get to the end of the game without using any BLJ's or Mips Clip with fewer than 70 stars even though it's TAS.
This was helpful, I was also experiencing the same issue.
Yeah it's weird but treating it as important as the other inputs you'll just have the muscle memory to adjust the camera in those exact places every time. (I'm suffering from it too due to recently learning new stars.)
Just watch videos with inputs and copy what camera movement they use. Just think of it as part of the normal inputs.
Depends on if the community is willing to declare exactly which things are glitches and what is just unintended. (And the mods opinions.)
I'd be more interested in an "Unlock all stages" category. The only problem is getting mushroom kingdom II for the trophies.
Considering the fact that emulator runs are still on this leaderboard along with how Banjo-Kazooie allows emulator runs it seems like there's no reason to not allow emulator runs.
"Exploiting loopholes is the base of speedrunning and competitive melee." I want to refute this but I play Peach so I guess you're right.
@ToxicToast1 Try using my method listed above. It works for me. It's definitely a lot quicker than doing it manually and once you set it up you have it forever.
Woops, missed the deadline by a lot but I might try this for fun.
@ConkyJoe89: Check out this youtube video to give you a better understanding. It certainly helped me:
I recently learned something that may help you with that BLJ. When you get the first part of the blj which puts you up the stairs in front of the door but you don't think you're going to have mario go all the way through the door you can continue to hold up and keep longjumping against the door/wall. I've only started doing this recently but it seems to be the same type of method that people use for the 1 star basement blj by continuing to jump against the wall to gain speed. TL;DR -Get a shitty looking blj that doesn't seem like it will shoot you out the door -Continue holding up and longjumping -You might gain more speed and go through the door anyway
I would recommend 16 star to start off with as a new player but if you're not really interested in learning glitches like BLJ 70 is fine too it's just a LOT of learning (I haven't even started learning 70). To each his own.
