Are zips RTA viable and do they save time over the Korean version?

So I’ve got 2 questions:

1. Do you have to have a timer on screen when recording without a capture card or can you just have a watch running off screen and show it at the end?

2. Where can one find a Korean cartridge, I don’t need one now I’m just wondering?

Is Priiloader allowed for speedruns of Japanese games on an American console?

Yeah it’s not just for Speedruns its mostly because I like to collect stuff and I’d like to play Japanese games without getting a whole new console

Would it be possible to just take the tray out or would that mess with the electronics?

Yeah, but region modding or using a passport is allowed right?

I don’t have a Japanese N64, do I need to get one or am I able to region mod/use a passport for my American N64 for valid runs?
