A race sounds like it could be fun but hard to keep count if everyone splits up. would mod need to watch max 8 perspectives to make sure it is counted right? Perhaps 55 carcasses on the map, and if a freebie spawns so be it, if a predator eats one too bad? Hmm... But that would be too RNG. If you sleep to regain HP and stamina you would loose kills. Very RNG.
Allowable bug? It takes a small bit of skill to trigger and sustain. What this trick does is take 'spam sleep for ages' and add a skillset into it. I think it makes the segment more interesting, so I would like to keep it.
If you park pups at a carcass when they are old enough for solid meat, you can time interrupted naps during their eating animation to have them both growing up at sleep speed, while they are also still eating.
When the pup begins to eat from the carcass, sleep. The trick is to try to wake up for just a moment when their eating animation is ending, and sleep again when it begins to restart. If timed perfectly the pup will never stop eating. As a bonus the pup stays so full they grow at full speed the whole time (I have not tested but I am under the impression that hungry pups grow slower). Alas, regurgitated food vanishes when you sleep so this only works with carcasses.
I'm hoping we can gather as many active community members and vote on some rules and stuff, this rule being the biggest. Chedder, it seems, had to set up all this stuff pretty much alone. The active runner community is not so active. If Chedder is willing, maybe we can schedule a date to have a vote, and give a little time to try to contact runners who are not often active as well as those who may want start running.
Is there a way we could put the maps thing to a vote? I know I can't submit runs through Rumble and all, but it seems other people who might be interested in running would like other maps to start on.

why does multiplayer need to run on first meadow? If someone finds a faster route on another config, or even thinks they have one, why isn't second meadow or aspen hieghts allowed?
I notice WQ team is kind enough to put a 'speedrun' tag in Multiplayer. What sort of multiplayer categories could we make? So far I've thought of maybe taking the whole map (except for the partial hexes at the boarders) as a team. Paint it all Yellow. Would they need to claim it to 50% or any ammount?
Got a reply from mods. they tried to do this, but since the game is still in early acess it was rejected. Shame. Where it is, I've gotten it under an hour and I wanted to show people how I did it.
