One last question. Can you rebind one key to multiple, e.g. E and F as interact?
The moderators don't specify whether you can or can't, they do however specify you can't bind anything to scroll wheel. I'm just looking for a definitive answer.
How would one rebind their interact key as it conflicts with movement keys. And is it legal to modify your FOV as it personally makes me feel sick, and if so how would you go about changing it. Thanks in advance.
Yeah I saw that too makes me a little worried to run the category just to get a run removed.
Sorry this is a little bit of a nitpick I just personally found it a little annoying that the names of these didn't stay consistent like: Solo, Duo, Trio. Or: 1 Player, 2 Players, 3 Players. Just wondering if this was intentionally made like this. Thanks.
Turns out Freddy keeps sliding in the 1.0 patch. I've made sure it's 1.0 the version numbers are different. This glitch just kills time and makes some certain sections luck in my runs. Gonna need to wait for a patch to come out that fixes this I guess.
Thanks so much, must've had the wrong manifest. Time to download this for 8 hours... Hopefully it will be worth it.
Alright I've rolled back at least I think I did but is there anyway to see what version you're on? The only "version numbers" I could find were in the options menu in the middle bottom and those were the same on the patch I downloaded and the most recent patch.
Here's a direct download for the Autosplitter. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/920192959218057246/925850953897357322/Autosplitter_Beta_for_Vanny_Ending.asl
(Hopefully it works when you aren't in the discord)
I'm having issues with the latest patch where after making a couple saves some things just start to degrade, like mentioned on the thread Sliding freddy, the more I restart my saves the more slippery Freddy gets and just random issues like that that I never encountered on 1.0, anybody got any idea how to roll it back to 1.0? (I can technically fix these issues but it requires completely reinstalling the game every time I do a run which isn't very... optimal with slow internet)
This is already a category, it's just in category extensions. Here's the link: https://www.speedrun.com/fnafsb_ce#Golf
Yeah I definitely agree with this. Even with the pause strategies it's definitely too hardware dependent.
Oh well, least the biggest time loss isn't counted. Still a little disappointed that freezes from triggering events is counted. Weirdly though my IGT still counts while I'm loading my save again but I assume they probably just count the frames that I'm loading it for. Thanks for the help though.
By my knowledge Map Bot's jumpscare is force loaded in the category I'm running Escape Inbounds. I've tried doing that with Daycare but I think my game is always too laggy or for some reason I can't move during it, my game just stays frozen for 5-7 seconds on a black screen. And I think title screen time and time spent loading is counted sadly. I'll try and figure out something, maybe now is the time to finally give in to the scalpers and upgrade my PC.
I know that but there is an issue, the game freezes on all the points that I mention and doesn't pause until after it loads in. On top of that you can't pause while the game is reloading the 6AM cutscene because you have to completely reload the save.
This is a continuation of my other forum post Elevators & Hardware except on a slightly different topic.
In the game we have to load things like Map Bots Jumpscare or the lights turning on in the Daycare, these take a few more seconds dependent on your Hardware and waste at least for me about 6-8 seconds of IGT since IGT is still going during this time, for others it'll load almost instantly. This wouldn't be too significant of an issue if it wasn't for one of the skips at 6AM, if you don't know there is a skip that you can use while Freddy is talking to you at the door, this skip involves going back to the title screen and reloading the save, this skip can do wonders if you have good hardware and save around 30-40 seconds, haven't timed it myself but it is very significant. The issue is IGT is still running while you are in the title screen and loading your save. I personally only save around 1-5 seconds with this because my game takes around 35-40 seconds to load back in if not longer.
If you want to know my general specs here they are: GTX1080, i7-8700, 16gb of RAM etc.
I was wondering if there was a way to make it so IGT doesn't keep going when you are in these specific parts of the run. If not that's alright. I'll take the hit of time. Thanks.
For the last few days I've been heavily running Escape Inbounds and I always seem to lose a lot of time in comparison to the other runner after entering/exiting the atrium, taking the Roxy elevator, etc. Looked into it and it seems to be the elevators. Mine no matter what will take between 50-60 seconds every single time, I've been comparing it and it seems others elevator times are between 20-30 seconds. I definitely don't have the most up to date PC, being GTX1080, i7-8700, 16gb of RAM etc. It's pretty old for todays standards. Am I just doomed to lose a few minutes a run due to the elevators or is there something I can do about it? (Or maybe I'm just extremely dumb and there's some strategy that everyone's using that's very possible).
Anyway would appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks!
If I am correct, 100% Runs are runs that involve beating all the extra objectives, Any% is how fast you can beat the level no matter what objectives you do. In 100% you have to beat Main/Secondary/Overload if any of those are in the level.
Planning to do some runs with a mate, just wanting to know the rules since they aren't listed yet.
I've put a symbol in my SRC logo which is a character from the game. I was wondering if I am allowed to include it in the SRC logo, if not I'll just remove it. If you want to see the logo for yourself go here: https://www.speedrun.com/just_shapes_and_beats
