Have been away from running due to life getting in the way and seen a lot of new players posting runs and was finally able to get time to run again :)
Before I get to posting or even trying to upload an actual run, needed some verification on a few rules or "exploits" as i'll call them.
-
the "unlocked" doors in the forest level
-
the star door being able to be pulled open with a book
-
Climbing on / around invisible walls (closet level, the "U" hallway with coats, white boxes can be climbed on from one side)
since these aren't exactly item boosts / clips / OOBs, wanted to know others' opinions ( or other moderators)
Yep. As long as you are not standing in it when the item is released from your grip.
It's not prop boosting (using the launch from being ejected) it passes in my opinion.
I'll look into the framerate thing. If anything 45fps might be strangely faster for 2.0 (that or i just lost my edge)
13 seconds is quite a bit for a language swap. Makes me also wonder about lower fps being faster in some areas. (An older computer i did runs on had better prop launches)
Not sure how I could change this, but I support this completely.
There will probably need to be new categories for PC as well. Latest version is 3.0.1 and there are a lot of glitches that were fixed. One of which affects prologue any% runs.
I think its good for use there. Not sure what makes them different besides control scheme and load times.
Can't remember exactly what version I found it in, but there is a flying bug. only issue is: the Terminal Velocity kill trigger still remains, and if you land on ground that is lower than your start point after hitting a checkpoint, you die from fall damage.
Forgot to mention, it is REALLY slow to set it up, but can be used to possibly explore more areas of the game without the use of the console.
EDIT: It is possible in version 2.0
I would agree with a glitchless category. Might bring new runners to the game.
I've been meaning to post about this one... it's killed many runs. There are also unlocked doors in forest(just walk into them.)
No chair clips category soon? Lol.
I attempted this several times earlier with multiple different setups that worked in pre 3.0. but to no avail. Has anyone else got this trick to work in this version?
I've been working on a 100% route and there is a place in the home level where the game needs to be reloaded to unlock a skipped door. Is it legal for me to do this?
