0-1 Consistent Filth Clipping

if you hold Back and right (S and D)  and kill the first 2 filth (from right to middle) and then aim to the left of the head of the last filth and let him hit you, it will clip you through most of the time.

you can also aim slightly to the right of the back left statue in the room but you'll have to aim pretty much head height of the filth for it to work.

how to do the 1-4 sliding start room thing or whatever, i dont know if it has a name.

i, myself couldn't understand how to myself go fast like how you do in those 1-4 speedruns where they throw a core eject at the room.

but i know now so heres a tutorial:
1. equip jackhammer core eject
2. when you spawn in, dont go left or right. just straight
3. before you you go into the door trigger area, turn around and look down. not comepletely down though.
4. walk back towards the door and when you hear it open, use core eject and shoot it with a malicious railcannon




how to downpatch

some levels like 1-4 have world records that are not physically possible to beat due to updates that change how the levels are played. Ideally you should play on the latest version of the game, especially if you want to do full game runs, but downpatching will unfortunately still be required for some world records until the game is fully released.

In your browser, enter this url: steam://open/console
This will open the steam console.

Next, find the manifest number for whatever patch you need from here https://steamdb.info/depot/1229491/history/ (sorted by date)

in your steam console enter:
download_depot 1229490 1229491 manifestnumber

Steam will download the old patch and will say where the directory is in the console.

To add all of your progress to the old patch, go to your normal Ultrakill folder and copy the Saves folder from it. Paste the Saves folder into the downpatched directory and you will have all of your progress on the old patch. There are some visual bugs that come with this depending on version but it doesn't matter.

After that, you can just launch the exe in the old version and you're good to go.
