Basic information:
 
Any% means that you have to beat the game by any means possible, allowing any kind of in-game glitch, the only restriction are cheats. the timing for THAW starts when the story difficulty is selected and it ends when the CS after you brang the DV back to the Ranch is triggered.
 
The Any% Run in THAW is done on easy difficulty, simply because you have to do less missions to complete the game, The money you need to advance is grinded on the way with the Tags
 
The fastest way to move depends on the situation. I think on flat ground and upward slopes it is best to do a combo run out somehow to make the timer appear (Caveman- Combo-run-out f.e.). On downward slopes grinding seems to be the fastest way.
 
sadly it's slower,but i'm gonna mention it anyway:
The Hollywood Skip is a glitch which allows you to leave Hollywood early without doing the Dino Head Mision beforehand. it is done dy doing and flip trick while sliding through the cage at the exit of Hollywood that leads to Beverly Hills. you can also call it Beverly Hills early i guess. But you can not actually skip the Dino Head mission since you wouldn't be able to use the bus to Beverly Hills and you'll probably be stuck at some point in the game, i never tested it out though.
 
Muton is the guy that tags with you. So everytime i type something like "Muton in ... 1x", it means go to the tagger and do 1 tag. Even if you have an graphic saved that contains all 4 styles, the game won't let you trigger the Spat mission, unless you learn the styles, so that's why you have to tag 3 times in Hollywood, Beverly Hills,Downtown and Santa Monica. But you can load a graphic that contains all 4 styles before you learned all the styles in the run, so you do it right before you do the last tag in Downtown.
 
You will often read something like "do the "insert Ranch piece here"- Mission". that's because there are several points in the game where you have to go to the Skate Ranch to trigger Story Missions, and i think it's faster to get back to the Ranch with doing the mission, since you go directly to the Ranch. You can also just go to Beverly Hills via bus and then go through the "tunnel" but i think that 's slower.However, some of the Ranch piece missions are only being done because they trigger story missions,f.e. the Tony Alva Mission requires you to do 2 extra Ranch piece mission to trigger Alva standing where he stands, so doing the shark head and the theatre roof mission is not to get back to the Ranch faster.
 
Using the same character will always give you the same sponsor challenges, but i would recommend you to take an start character that wears a hat, since it's faster to just remove the hat cause that counts as an hairstyle change.
 
The spawn points from Muton are fixed, that means, he always spawns at the same spots in the same order in the different parts of the city, so you can plan your route. However, the spawn points of Rick Thorne (the BMX teacher) are not fixed, so you have to adjust to it at the point in the run where you have to do the 3 BMX Missions in Downtown.
 
On timed missions where you have to get more points than the opponent, don't score until near the timer is runned out (start scoring with 15-10 seconds left on the timer), since your opponent will not get many points if you don't score at all, but make sure never to be in a combo when the timer reaches 0, cause the mission won't stop if the timer runs out and you are in a combo.
