I accidentally reset my LiveSplit near the end and used an approximated time on-screen for the last hour or so. Retimed manually using start timestamp 1:19 and end timestamp 10:42:52.
This run went great. Major mistakes include:
- Went straight to MSM after defeating Chameleon, instead of visiting King, which added a few minutes of sailing.
- Didn't notice that I got an Aura of Valor on Muraji, which could have saved a turn on Bluheim.
The aspect of the run I am most proud of is that it has no Black Map. The Black Map is DC's only viable way to prevent back attacks which are frequent in later game areas. For a long time I considered this item a must for optimized runs of the game. With this run, though, I am guessing just 5-10 minutes were added on from lack of Map. I worked hard on finding encounter cancels through all the game's areas which made back attacks less of a problem--and, I also got some good back attack luck. Below average frequency, and small enemy groups when they did occur.
This was also my first time manip'ing Pinta's Quest over such a long period, and my first time using such ambitious seed farming strats, which were really to great effect, especially on Tortigar.
