So the gates in nowhere there's the bug where you back out of them then just walk through the gate, has anyone tried that with the keycard door in the hospital and the plaque door in Nowhere?

Different situation. The door interaction is still there behind the gate, there just happens to be a section near the hinges where it doesn't block you. The keycard door in Hospital Wing and Plaque Door in Nowhere are just plain old locked doors.
