I was checking out the World 1 leaderboard and the times are all over the place. Im guessing that the times used to place people arent the same as the times shown. It would be a lot nicer if you could try showing the actual times the leaderboards are based off of. Thanks.
The times aren't placeholders -- these were times calculated by the verifiers during a Mobile Speedrunning Discord competition. I can't remember exactly how retiming was done, though, so the times could be inaccurate. This competition was held before tools like https://mattbraddock.com/yt-frame-timer/ were created.
If you'd like to try your hand at retiming, yt-frame-timer instructs users on how to do frame-perfect timing in YouTube :)) If you do want to learn it, send me a message and I can make you a moderator.
Please read the rules for each category and let me know if you have questions.
I've just removed "separate load times" from the leaderboards. In our competition, we wanted to separate them because some users thought it was more fair to time without loads. However, I think that's not as necessary now that the competition is over.
What this means is that the whole leaderboard needs to be retimed, oof.
Please message me on discord so I can send you some screenshots of what to look for when timing.
Edit: For those wondering why the leaderboard has no times, don't worry. Circinus and I are taking care of it.
I was retiming runs for the competition, because load times were different for numerous players, I removed frames where the balls that you collect don't move. So identical frames.
