I know this is kind of a weird topic, but there are ways to beat Sonic 2 without pressing right or left and I feel like it would be kind of cool to have a category for beating the game as fast as possible without pressing right or left, as there are some neat tricks you can use to do so (the most difficult ones are in Hill Top and Death Egg, and require a lot of practice to do)

That is the original video, but the one made by Gamechamp3000 shows how to do it ENTIRELY without pressing right or left because they never gave up (its been a few years since I watched the original video so i don't remember if he got rid of the 1 left/right input at the end of the run)

Generally for categories to be added, they need at least 3 runs by different people to be considered.

This one though would be a nightmare for verification though so I'd say it's unlikely to end up as a category.

i might be able to get 3 of my friends, as well as myself, to submit a run... I like Sonic a lot, my best friend likes Sonic alot, and one of my other friends is really good at speedrunning! (for reference, the other friend beat the Undertale Pacifist WR by a minute and 20 seconds but forgot to record bc he was just practicing, so his run didn't get submitted)
